The reservation fee will be more expensive than yourself, but it saves a lot of trouble for tourists who don't understand Japanese. It is recommended to use it, especially when traveling in Kyoto during the peak season. The reservation is still necessary. It starts off with a simple explanation of the japanese history, the rise and end of the samurai, going from room to room with a number of exhibits. The teacher is very professional and shares a lot of knowledge about sake. There are Chinese, English and Japanese options, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance.
