The tour was excellent! Ali, the guide, did a great job and helped us learn a lot about places we visited.
The driver deserves being mentioned too: he helped us make it safely to Pamakkule and back.
Wish we van do it it again.★

Our guide, ALİ, picked us up at the cruise port and took us directly to the Ancient site. His knowledge of the history and architecture, changes in topography over the centuries and cultural insights into the people who walked those roads gave us a realistic understanding of the city.
We were also able to explore the Archeological Museum, and the remnants of both the Church of St John the Apostle and the temple of Artemis.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch of local food, we did have wine which was not included in the price but was very reasonable. Following lunch, we were given a hands on tour of a rug making school. I was given the honor of putting two knots into a rug. We also watched silk fibers being extracted from their cocoons.
Our friends on the cruise ship only saw a small fraction of this for the same cost.

We were picked up from the hotel, then joined the convoy of other tourists and proceeded to the Cave of Zeus with mineral enriched water in a cave. We then started the off road drive to the National park. On the way stopped at the echo valley, heard the reverberation when all in the group collectively shouted at the same time. There was a lovely water pistol fighting session to break the ice and set us back to childhood days. We visited the Kursunlu monastery, had a great lunch, took in views of the Greek Island, Samos.We returned back for a refreshing dip in the long beach and returned back to the hotel★

Cayda was our guide today from the moment we started her smile was welcoming. Cayda’s historical knowledge was exceptional, visiting Ephasus was a life dream made better by the pace, ease and care she took.
We were lucky to haved shared a typical lunch at a wonderful woman’s collective that gave me an intimate understanding of the local area .
This trip was very worthwhile and the guide superb.
