Reviews: Kathmandu Valley Day Tour: 2 or 4 UNESCO Heritage Sites Option

Enjoyed a full day tour visiting the UNESCO sites of the Patan Durban Square with the beautiful palace and Golden Temple. Then to the Pashupatinath Temple (cremation site) which was fascinating and an honour to witness. Then to the Boudhanath Stupa and walked clockwise (which Prakash explained why) around reciting Om Mani Padme Hum (prob misspelt - sorry) - incredibly grand and imposing while a powerful sight. Then to Swayambhunath Temple (also known as Monkey Temple) to take in the view of Kathmandu and the Stupa which is said to be created from the lotus flower.
Prakash and his driver were informative, respectful and went at my pace. I chose this company as it just you in the tour so you can go at your own speed. Very kind and respectful and would book them again.★

We had an outstanding day visiting these two sites with pushpa as our guide. She went way out of her way to make sure that we were happy and that we covered all of the areas we wanted. She took us to some local shops for ceramics, paintings and even singing bowls and we felt the people working there were respectful and not at all pushy. They explained the process and how quality of the items is determined.
She offerred a lunch with a homestay family which we readily accepted. Another great experience.
The car was an electric SUV, modern and clean with a great AC. 🙂
We booked through *** and everything went off without a hitch. A great day.

Shreejan took me on a whirlwind ride around the city. So many places to mention, all familiar ones, but also some out of the way gems. Newari kitchen in a hidden courtyard with amazing fare, a picture with a Kumari, a serendipitous occurrence, a healing bowl session, museums, temples, stupas, Pashupatinat cremation ceremony, monkeys, deer, and a great conversation overlooking the Stupa. Reviews: Mountain Everest Scenic Flight with Hotel Pickup and Dropoff

This is an excellent way to view Mount Everest with your own eyes if you are not going to climb it! I was picked up on time and had good weather for the flight. You get assigned a window seat, but can move to the other side to see when the view is not on your side. A once in a lifetime experience.
