Overall, I really enjoyed the tour! I have no complaints about the organizers themselves. I wanted to share my opinion, thinking it might help travelers like me. Keep in mind that the trip will be long: about 3-4 hours there, the same amount of time back, leaving you with about 3 hours at most for Alishan itself, including a lunch break. Overall, if, like me, you're not in Taiwan for long and don't think you'll get to Alishan on your own, it's worth it! Plus, in the middle of the active journey, I really enjoyed taking a nap on the bus and looking out the window. Otherwise, if you want to spend more time in the park and get a feel for the place, it's better to go on your own. A tour is a tour, and we cover all the sites on this route fairly quickly. Also, keep in mind the 1.5-hour drive along winding roads. If you have problems with motion sickness, bring some pills; they're really helpful. Again, this is not a minus of the tour, Alicia is simply a super guide, I was left with a pleasant impression!★

Our tour guide, Charlie, did an excellent job sharing his knowledge of Kaohsiung’s local culture, history, people, and attractions. He is professional, well-organized, and attentive to everyone on the tour. He also knows the best spots for taking great photos. The bus was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing break between attractions.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who only has one or two days in Kaohsiung but wants to visit most of the major attractions and gain a deeper understanding of the city★

Taking the Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) from Chiayi to Taipei was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The journey was smooth, comfortable and incredibly convenient, making it an excellent choice for travelling between cities in Taiwan.
The station was clean, well-organised and easy to navigate, with clear signs guiding passengers to the platforms. Boarding was straightforward, and the train itself was spacious, with comfortable seating and plenty of legroom. I particularly enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the journey was, allowing me to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery along the way.
What impressed me most was the speed. The journey from Chiayi to Taipei took approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on the train service, which saved so much travelling time compared to other transportation options.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience travelling with Taiwan High-Speed Rail.★
