The tour was great, but I would have preferred to spend the entire tour spotting whales instead of flying up the mountain and landing there. The name of the tour is a one-hour whale watching tour.

OMGGGGG.! Honestly, keeping my expectations in check I wasn’t anticipating on seeing any dolphins, but, thankfully, I was wrong.! Not only did we see dolphins we got up close & personal with them as they put on an almost 10 minute show for us. It was the most magical experience in the most magical place. The sun glistening while kayaking through the calm water taking in the beauty of Kaikōura was beyond peaceful. This was so much more than I ever imagined and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.!
