William my tour guide was great, it was just me taking the tour and it still sent ahead and I learnt a lot. William has excellent knowledge of his history of Johannesburg.

The vestiges of apartheid are very much present, but the Ubuntu spirit of Africa is very much alive. Poverty is real, but so is the community sharing and the care for children. The tour guide, Steven, was great. He knows the area and the people. He was a great guide. Learning about Hector Pieterson and the June 16, 1976 Youth Day Massacre -- visiting museum named for him and the Regina Mundi church -- were the highlight.
