If you are visiting China and do not already have a Chinese mobile phone number, then you must have a eSIM card to move around, because China is a massive digital land!

It happened to be snowing when I went, and I thought soaking in a hot spring while it was snowing would be really interesting, but it was actually quite cold. The weather was better the next day, and soaking in the hot spring while looking at the snow-capped mountains in the distance felt wonderful. Many pools were closed due to the freezing temperatures. Overall, I was still satisfied.


