We had the most amazing adventure! Even the locals we have talked to do not know about the possibility of rappelling at Goblin. Tyler was terrific, knowledgeable, and reassuring, which we needed. There is only one rappel, but it is a doozy, and the “scrambles” were more exciting than expected. There were numerous points at which, on my own, I would have said, “Well, that isn’t safe. Let’s go back.” But Tyler cheerily walked us through every step and brought us home safe and sound. If you are near Goblin Valley, do NOT miss the chance to do this tour.

The activity was great with beautiful scenery. Mel, our guide, had an encyclopedic knowledge of the formations, geology, and history of the park. He was a great conversationalist in a range of topics.

This off-road adventure was the kind you remember as an all time favorite vacation highlight! We were picked up at the Capitol Reef campground which made it super convenient for us. The Range Rover easily handled the rough terrain but it was seriously so comfortable we barely felt any bumps! Our guide (Mel) was like having a good friend take you to his local stomping grounds. He shared history, geology, geography and his passion for the area! We were blown away by the bentonite hills and Mel gave us all the tips to enjoy the experience and customized it to our requests so that we didn’t miss anything. Highly recommend!


