I ordered two eSIM cards. One for me and one for my wife. For some reason, the connection didn't work in China, which was disappointing at first. Then it turned out I needed to enable roaming in the SIM card settings (iPhone 17). And I got a connection in the Philippines. The reception is pretty good, you can even make video calls.β

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but itβs not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride youβll need a number for it in china.ξ₯
