Buying the half-price card really saved me a lot on transportation costs!! Many cable cars and boats offer half-price fares, which is a great deal. But remember to save the QR code, as there are ticket inspectors checking your half-price card on almost every longer train journey!★

Great guide! Plenty of time to do everything. Spectacular scenery. Take your time at high altitude. You may feel strange if you live near sea level. Take sugary snacks. It helps!! We did feel the hour-long wait on the glass “step into the void” was too long for the few seconds we would have to take pictures. It was plenty scenic enough already!!
We also enjoyed the train ride to the ice cave. Sad that climate change is shrinking the glaciers SO fast. Trip.com picks
