Reviews: Mount Fuji In-Depth 1-Day Tour: Lake Kawaguchi Cable Car/Cruise & Fuji Mountain Train & Instagrammable Spots

This day trip to Mount Fuji was fantastic! The tour guide was incredibly professional, patient and attentive throughout, helping everyone find the best photo spots. The itinerary was well-planned, not rushed or tiring. We took the ropeway to the summit for panoramic views, rode the miniature train around Lake Kawaguchi, and even fed the swans. The snow-capped summit of Mount Fuji was absolutely breathtaking. Excellent value for money, highly recommended!

A huge thank you to our tour guide, Hikari! He's a young man from Shandong, but fluent in both Chinese, English, and Japanese. He was incredibly enthusiastic throughout the tour and even offered to take photos for us. I booked this day tour for the next day at the last minute, as days with 10% visibility around Mount Fuji are rare, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to experience it again. The meeting point was at Tokyo Station, which wasn't hard to find; the guide provided detailed directions in the group chat. We were lucky; the weather was perfect, and the roads were great with minimal traffic. We visited most of the places mentioned in the itinerary, though the order might vary slightly depending on the actual situation. We saw Mount Fuji the whole time, even catching a glimpse of a smaller version in the distance, and the last vestiges of cherry blossoms at Oshino Hakkai. The guide even gave us a small gift at the end, which was very thoughtful. The only downside was that some spots were quite crowded, making it a bit rushed and not enough time to buy souvenirs. I'd love to go again on my own next time.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day trip from Tokyo to the Shibazakura Festival at Mount Fuji. We were lucky with the weather, and we were able to see Fuji from different locations, which is considered a great privilege. Seeing the famous mountain with a carpet of blooming shibazakura in the foreground is truly a dream for many travelers. A special plus was, of course, our guide and driver, Nick, who created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, even with the language barrier. The hotel transfer greatly simplified logistics; there was no need to worry about how to get to the starting point.

Highly recommended. Unbeatable value for money. The tour guide contacted us the day before, providing clear and helpful meeting information pictures. They even helped take photos, and their photography skills were superb. No shopping stops throughout the trip, very flexible, perfect for those who want to see all the landmarks in one go. Because if you really want to see Mt. Fuji, you need to book the bus and hotel in advance, but it can be frustrating if the weather is bad. This tour allows you to book a day in advance based on the weather forecast, ensuring a smooth and worry-free experience. Great scenery, excellent management, and a great itinerary – five stars!

Luckily, I saw Mount Fuji under a clear sky on my first trip to Japan. Xiangxiang's guidance added a lot of fun to the whole trip. She gave many thoughtful tips, knew we wanted to take great photos and gave us extra time to explore, and even shared fun anecdotes about Japan when everyone was frustrated by traffic. Booking a day tour to Mount Fuji was really convenient; the schedule was well-organized, the driver provided transportation throughout, and all I had to do was get off at the designated times to take pictures. It was fantastic!
