Our visit to Dujiangyan was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Andreas. From the very beginning, he was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly thoughtful in how he shared the history and significance of the site. Andreas has a real talent for bringing the ancient engineering marvel of Dujiangyan to life. He explained complex ideas in a way that was easy to understand, while still being rich in detail and context. We especially appreciated how he connected the history to modern-day China, which made the experience feel even more meaningful. Beyond his knowledge, Andreas was patient, friendly, and attentive to everyone in the group. He made sure we were comfortable, answered all our questions with enthusiasm, and even gave helpful tips for the rest of our trip. Thanks to Andreas, what could have been just a sightseeing trip became a memorable and enriching experience. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Dujiangyan!

I had already visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, but this private tour was completely different. Fewer crowds, more time with the pandas, and a much more peaceful and immersive experience — definitely worth the higher price. My guide, Ellen, made a big difference. English information at the base is limited, so her translations and explanations about panda conservation were essential and very interesting. She also shared great local tips about Sichuan. She was always attentive to my needs and made me feel very comfortable as a solo traveler. The driver was professional and the private transport made everything easy and comfortable. He also helped me with info for my upcoming tours and plans around Chengdu. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something more personal and in-depth than the standard panda base visit.
