The eight of us, who had planned a backpacking trip, only had one day to spare in Dali. We planned to take a train from Kunming the night before, do a day tour, and then return to Lijiang the next morning. We initially considered taking a taxi or bus, but decided that a private charter tour, while a bit more expensive, would be more cost-effective. The charter driver was attentive, using his smartphone to translate and always parking close to our destination. Thanks to him, we had a comfortable one-day tour. About 100 meters from the entrance to Heungnang Ancient Town, across from a public restroom, there was a coffee shop with a nice atmosphere and very affordable price. They grinded coffee beans on the spot and made Americano for 5 yuan. Maxim Coffee was 5 yuan elsewhere. Shuanglang Ancient Town wasn't that great. The S-shaped riverside road was a great photo opportunity. Chongqing Temple with its three pagodas was also nice.★

Great tour with excellent service. Just the right amount of time spent with the Terracotta Army. Never felt rushed. Recommend going after the National holiday week as I did so the number of people aren’t so many. We didn’t have to queue for long. I thoroughly recommend this company. For a first time traveller to China it was great to be picked up from the hotel as I was unfamiliar with the area. The generous lunch that was included after the tour was lovely as well and our group couldn’t finish all the food as there was so much provided. The organiser (Olivia) was very helpful answering any query I had. Our tour guide (Nana) was great also and very knowledgeable about everything. Absolutely no complaints.
