Reviews: Cuenca to Guayaquil one-way tour with Cajas Park and a Cacao Farm visit
Guest User2024-07-15
Genius trip. Getting from Cuenca to Guayaquil will take 4 hours, so why not make it an adventure. You get to enjoy la sierra y la costa. Lovely hike. The cacao farm has completely changed the way I experience chocolate forever. Our guide was very accommodating to our small children and elderly aunt. ¡Fabuloso!

Eddie was a great tour guide! He offered the tour in english or spanish and was very informative! All of our questions were answered and we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Cajas. We would reccomend anyone who is interested in seeing Cajas to go through Polylepis Tours!
Reviews: Ultimate Cajas National Park Full-Day Adventure with Local Expert

Andres picked us up at our Airbnb! Andres was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide! Parque Nacional Cajas was a beautiful pastoral setting where we learned about birds, plants, flowers, the lake and the history of the area. Included in our trip was a stop at the continental divide with amazing views all around. From there we walked around a picturesque lake in Toreadora Refuge and our lack of breath reminded us that we were at high altitude. Andres took huffing and puffing in stride and slowed down our pace. We had a good lunch at Estancia San Juan and were dropped off at our Airbnb happy with the day!
Reviews: Full Day Tour Gualaceo, Chordeleg, and San Bartolomé from Cuenca

I have never learned so much of Ecuador within a day. After living in Quito for several months, I left this tour with a deeper knowledge of Ecuador’s geography, artisanal traditions, people, and way of living. Our guide, Diego, is very knowledgeable and educated of all things Ecuador. Our walks through the town were very informational, where he thoroughly explained each detail of each stop. Also, don’t skip out on the lunch of the hornado en Gualaceo! By far my top favorite Ecuadorian dish!!! We truly appreciated and enjoyed this tour, and wouldn’t have imagined leaving Cuenca without experiencing this well thought out, intentional, and culturally immersive tour! Gracias Diego por enseñarnos tu bella ciudad!

My guide Wilson was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was happy with the amount of time we took in each of the places we went. Also, the fact that he suggested trying authentic foods/drinks from those places. Beautiful places.
