Prevent injury If you want to be safe or can't swim, you can take the life jacket off the boat and go snorkeling (the leader said you can take it off the boat). The tour leader said the average stay time in a cave is about 15 minutes (don't be playful or get out of line as the tour guide may not notice your boat coming and leave). We were following the leader so we followed up (there was a Filipino group member who unfortunately did not keep up but went back to pick her up Personally, I think it just so happens that he can speak Garogue otherwise it is easy to open the skylight in the case of language barriers.
