Our family is on a British Isles cruise and stopped in Belfast yesterday. Lisa from CitySightSeeing was easy to find, standing right outside of the gift shop at the pier. The coach was comfortable and our driver Joe expeditiously drove us up the freeway in order to beat most of the crowds at Dunluce Castle and Giant’s Causeway. Lisa was a well spoken and very knowledgeable guide who kept us entertained throughout our time in the coach. We learned a lot about the people, history, and folklore of Northern Ireland. We had enough time to walk down the entire path at Giant’s Causeway and take pictures but not a lot more. This was fine because we had so much more to see. If you haven’t been to Giant’s Causeway, it is a must see because of its beauty and uniqueness. On the way back, Joe drove us down the scenic coast. We stopped for a view of the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Sadly, we were not able to walk across the bridge because while it was closed during Covid, it was discovered that the coaches were damaging the natural flora so they are now prohibited. The view was pretty though. We stopped in a very cute small town for lunch at a pub called Harry’s. The upstairs was mostly reserved for our group and we had a limited menu of five or six entrees so they could serve us quickly. The food was adequate. Nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. We made one more stop off for pictures of Carrickfergus Castle before heading to Belfast for a historical commentary and viewing of the various murals. At our tour’s conclusion we were dropped off quite close to our ship with plenty of time to spare. Overall this was an amazing tour at a fraction of the price of going through the cruise ship. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming to Belfast via cruise ship. You won’t be disappointed.

Stuart was so informative and super nice! The tour was great, so many beautiful sights along the way. Very well planned out. Definitely eat in the restaurant stop as the food was top quality and delicious. I'm definitely planning to do this trip again with my partner.

This was a 7.5 hour tour in Northern Ireland in the winter time, so it was cold, windy, sometimes wet and occasionally a bit wild. Wrap up warm with plenty of layers if you want to enjoy this tour at this time of year! However, with Stephen our driver and guide we saw the very best of the local scenery in a small group. Being a local he was very knowledgeable and managed to get us to places ahead of the competition allowing us to enjoy each location with fewer crowds. His commentary also steered a careful course between the partisan groups in this troubled island. The highlight obviously is the Giants Causeway, and perhaps the most disappointing thing is the Dark Hedges because the trees are past their best and it will be another hundred years before the replacements are of a similar stature. In between we loved the small fishing village of Carnlough. There is nothing special there, just a small harbour and a 7-11 store but you feel you are seeing the real Northern Ireland. In between a stop at Bushmills Distillery (no time for a tour but time to sample if you wish), and a brief photo stop at Dunluce Castle, plus a scenic coastal drive as the waves crashed against the shore.

A must do day trip from Dublin! We did the black cab tour in Belfast and it was so informative and eye opening about the years of history that took place during the troubles. The giants causeway was stunning and such an amazing stop on the tour. Rory our guide was so well versed in all the information and history of Ireland/Northern Ireland he really made the trip one that I would recommend to anyone visiting Ireland. Warren, the bus driver, helped get all of us to each spot safe and sound which is everyone’s ideal situation on a trip like this. Thank you Wild Rover Tours for an unforgettable trip!
