We had a fabulous day with Gabrielle today. She is a gem. Very knowledgeable young woman who made this the best tour I have ever been on! She truly cared about what the group wanted to do and we saw a lot more than we thought we would see. It was magnificent. So many great pictures were taken. Thank you! Loved the small group size. 8 is a perfect number.

The experience was pure joy and the best part was walking my alpaca Rock Star! Jenna was very enthusiastic and you can tell she loves her job.

Our tour guide Monica was absolutely wonderful. She picked us up directly from our hotel and was right on time. She was personable and knowledgeable about Yellowstone and all the animals we saw along the way. I traveled with my parents and my four-year-old daughter and Monica was able to keep the day interesting for all four of us. I couldn't recommend this tour more highly.

After much internet research, we booked a 5-day private guided tour with Yellowstone Safari for Sept 2024 for my family (6 adults / 50-70yrs old). Ash Talmadge was informative, as well as a pleasure to work with as we planned our 5-day adventure. Randolph Russel was our guide & teacher for the 5 days of our Yellowstone & Grand Tetons experience. I cannot recommend Randolph highly enough. If you have a choice of guides, choose him - he was exceptional & it's easy to see that he loves what he does & shares with his clients....(please note - based on my interactions with Ash & her company, I'm sure all of Yellowstone Safari's guides are top notch). Our days started early with bkfst on the go to put us in primetime locations for wildlife viewing. We saw many grizzlies, elk, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, mountain goats, a few moose, two separate wolf packs, a herd of wild horses, a golden eagle and as expected - large numbers of bison. Most of these species were able to be viewed with the naked eye (some as close as 100ft to 100yds) but spotting scopes & binoculars were set up for longer range subjects. Randolph also expertly explained & guided walks for us thru all the historical and geological phenomena that Yellowstone is known for....waterfalls, hot springs, thermal pools, mud volcanoes & geysers. Lunches were gourmet outdoor picnics (weather permitting) & we were brought to some great restaurants for our evening meals. As mentioned in other reviews, the Yellowstone Safari guides know the right places & right times to allow us to observe the natural wonders of Yellowstone. This was truly the trip of a lifetime for us. Yellowstone Safari made it happen.

Randolph is amazing! He led 4 of us on a full day winter wildlife tour of Yellowstone, and we had the absolute best time. Our entire group (some of us met as strangers that day!) had a blast together. He’s impressively knowledgeable about so many aspects of the wildlife species in the park—population sizes, their habits, where they live in the park, and a pulse on the research being done currently to monitor the wolf and bear populations. His innate passion for nature and animals came through and inspired us to ask so many more questions. We learned so much! He possesses this next level ability to spot wildlife with the naked eye (often while driving!) and would pull over safely and expertly bust out a scope to hone in on the animal of interest to make it visible for the rest of us. He did this for a mountain goat that blended in with the pure white snow on a far off mountain cliff and for a dipper bird that was fishing, such a unique species that was fascinating to watch. He’s friendly and welcoming and is an excellent communicator, giving us a head’s up from the beginning on where the rest stop and coffee opportunities would be along the way. And he asked from the start what we were hoping to see to tailor the experience to the interests of our group, which was really cool. Beyond being knowledgeable and kind, he’s also a genuinely interesting person and he shared lots of memorable stories—from inside and outside the park. We laughed so many times, and shared some heartfelt moments too. Can’t compliment him enough for guiding us through the park and creating such a positive vibe as the backdrop for what became many fun memories. I’ll admit, there was a moment a few weeks before my trip to Montana that I suggested to my friend we just rent a car and figure out the park ourselves. I live for national parks and know how to improvise & maximize a day long trip—and I am so glad she convinced me to take this tour! There’s *no way* we would have jampacked that many epic wildlife sightings into one day—and we would have only learned *a fraction* of what we did if we hadn’t opted into this truly memorable experience.
