The highlight of our Bulgaria trip! We were worried about whether the experience would be worth it considering it is about 3h30 drive from Sofia (so 7h both ways), but it was absolutely incredible. The rocks/fortress are incredible but the best part is the view at the top of them, simply breathtaking! Pictures don't do it justice at all. Our driver and guide Ventsislav was so great and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the rocks, fortress and the good spots for pictures or interesting facts. The experience also felt very private in a way as you share it with a group of 5-7 people, so that's an added bonus. We ended up visiting the Magura cave as the Venetsa Cave was closed, and it was very impressive and enjoyable. Absolutely no negatives about the day overall and well worth the time and money. 10/10, absolutely recommend and a must-do!

It was a small group so more questions.Kristof was a good guide, we had a lot of fun. The area is nice and one day is just good enough to visit. The rocks are nice and the cave it cool. Don't forget to bring a hoodie.

Belogradchik Fortress is even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Be sure to bring proper footwear as you can climb the rocks all the way to the top and get amazing views of the area. Our guide Dimitar was very knowledgeable, pleasant, professional, and extremely helpful. We had plenty of time to explore the area at our own pace after the guided portion and did not feel rushed. The cave was interesting to see lit up in different colored lights. A must-do activity in Bulgaria!

Plovdiv is a very beautiful city steeped in history, well worth a visit. Asen's Fortress is also interesting, and the surroundings are beautiful. Our guide, Philip, was very kind, polite, and informative, with a great sense of humor.

If you arrive in Sofia for a few days don't miss the opportunity to visit Plovdiv. The trip is about 2 hours, the van was comfortable and the driver serve as a tourist guide as well. She was professional and very knowledgeable about the history and traditions of Bulgaria. We spent a good time during the trip. Thanks Maria!
