A really, really cool museum/set tour for Game of Thrones. If you liked the show even a little then you should enjoy this.
The production values are incredibly high right from the start, with a curated video and voiceover from the actress who played Missandei introducing the tour, before you then walk through the gates of Castle Black into a chilly room filled with fog.
After that you're free to explore at your leisure. It features numerous full sets from the show (what often doesn't come across in pictures online is how big the sets are on this tour), including the interior of Castle Black, the map room from Dragonstone, the throne from Dragonstone, the courtyard and the Hand's study/Small Council meeting room from King's Landing, the Winterfell main hall, and of course the Throne Room from King's Landing. These sets are filled with mannequins representing the characters from those locations/key scenes, dressed in costumes worn by the actors for the show. The varous House music themes from the show are played throughout as well, further underlining the high production values.
In-between these sets are modern museum-like sections showcasing various props, artwork, jewellery, costumes, weapons, etc. etc. etc. that were all used for filming the show, as well as behind-the-scenes looks at the production elements that went into creating everything.
The building is very modern and clean, the lay-out is really well thought-out, and there's a cafe at the start and a themed restaurant (the food we had was very nice, and the prices were reasonable) in the middle for those who want a break. The staff were all friendly and helpful too.
You can have your photos taken for free at the start and then at the end (on the Iron Throne); you can then view these photos on digital screens in the shop and decide if you want to purchase some immediate physical print outs and/or the ability to access them on your phone/PC at home afterwards. They're a bit pricey but worth it! The gift shop is also pretty cool, with lots of merch for the various Houses. The only downside here is that a lot of the merch has 'Game of Thrones Studio Tour' branded on it, which is a shame; we preferred the things that didn't.
On the whole we were very impressed and everything exceeded our expectations, so much so that we plan on visiting again next time we go to Belfast.
