This day trip to Gubei Water Town was semi-independent, but our guide, Chacha, recommended suitable tickets based on our physical condition (without forcing anyone), ensuring we enjoyed both the Simatai Great Wall and Gubei Water Town without getting too tired. Chacha also frequently reminded everyone of important points in the group chat, and the time management was perfect. Thumbs up! 👍

The schedule was very very very tight! You basically depend on others of the group and the traffic to be able to see something of the watertown. We are a young fit couple and in the parts of the watertown and night view of the wall we had to walk pretty fast to arrive regarding the schedule. Queue up early for the cable car of the night view at. At the first stop you have enough time to walk the wall. The rest is pretty tight tmeven though we were lucky with a group being on time and very little traffic. The guide answered all our questions but you can to listen very focused to wait she says because the people of the entire bus booked different things so it's a little confusing in the beginning. For us everything worked out well, more time would have been great in the watertown and on the wall. Next time we would stay overnight in the watertown area. The place for the great wall is great we enjoyed that part very much, we were lucky and had a really good view and sunny day that day.
