It was an unforgettable trip to the town and Simatai Great wall. We were picked up at the appointed time from the subway station. We traveled on a comfortable bus. The guide, Susie, gave us tickets and explained where to go. I really liked that the rest of the journey was independent. We didn't wait for others and were free to go wherever we wanted. At the appointed time, we returned to the bus and went to Beijing.★

If you wanna see the Great Wall without a lot of people, this is worth the distance to go far. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive. We had our five year-old son with us and we took the cable car to the Jinshanling Great Wall area after we got dropped off by the tour bus and got picked up by a private car to go to that area, which is about an hour away from Simatai, where most of the group was at. after we got drop off on the side of the road, we got picked up by a private car it was about 30-40 minute drive. There wasn’t much communication we had to use Google translator. He took us to a restaurant a little bit off the beaten path and said we should have lunch keep in mind you don’t have to.★
