We had an epic and unique fun most memorable experience with Alfonso and Ana! Alfonso was so attentive, he showed use around La Boqueria, helped us find a place open late at night so I could buy cheese to bring home, and explained to us how to clean the shrimps calamari and mussels; he instructed us carefully, with knowledge, patience and story telling of the history of paella, his insights info Barcelona, and his memories of Salerno, IT where he’s originally from. The paella class was fun because he guided us with enthusiasm and charisma! The sangria and tarta making was also fun, and both were a delicious accompaniment to the paella meal and the full experience. Ana was also incredibly kind and welcoming! She modified the stock for the paella to have it was allium free due my allergy, and she set up delicious tapas and olives for us to enjoy as well! In the end we toasted with liquor shots that helped settle our full stomachs, and hearths of a very special time in Barcelona — we hope

What a fun time. Right from the start Claudia had us laughing and feeling comfortable. And if we weren't hungry and ready to cook when we arrived, the market tour definitely got us there. We tasted some local delicacies and then got to cooking. I would encourage anyone visiting to try this class as it's a great way to eat up the local culture. And thanks to Claudia for making it a fun way to do it.

Had a great night learning the art of paella with Paula. Went as a solo traveller and had lots of fun with other solo travellers, couples, and groups. Paula was great fun and I particularly enjoyed the competition making between the seafood and chicken paella! The final product was delicious and we all enjoyed the bottomless sangria throughout the class. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Barcelona and keen to do a cooking class.
