Reviews: Guided Edinburgh Private Walking Tour

This was one of the best tours I have been on. Our tour guide, Alastair Sim, was phenomenal. He adapted to all of our needs--short time, a member of our party in a wheel chair, and our desires of what to see. When he learned we'd already taken a tour of the Castle, he asked what we wanted to see. We didn't know, so he prompted with questions like: Do you like Game of Thrones or Harry Potter. We responded that we liked Harry Potter. Alastair then completely changed what he had originally planned and took us on a good walking tour that included many wonderful sites in Edinburgh along with a few specific to Harry Potter, but not limited just to HP. He was kind and patient as we pushed a wheel chair up steep hills and over cobblestone roads. His knowledge of Scotland was phenomenal. If you can get Alastair on a tour, you will be in for a treat!

Our morning with Andre exceeded our expectations. We booked our tour of Edinburgh at the very last minute but Andre reached out to us and put together the most perfect introduction to this amazing city. He showed us several sites we never would have found or understood without him ,and he made many recommendations which we appreciated and used on our own. He was always mindful of our needs, ( coffee, rest breaks etc) and made himself available for questions even after we parted. I feel as if we have made a friend in Edinburgh and would not hesitate to request him again. Best decision we ever made! Thank you, Andre!

Much to our surprise our driver Willie told us it was his first day on the job. He was as delightful, funny and interesting as any veteran could be. Ask for Willie. You won’t regret it.

Truly enjoyable and informative day trip with an outstanding guide / driver Calais. The Lindores Abbey distillery tour and tasting was excellent. The stop at Dewars distillery for lunch was also delightful with great lunch offerings. Finally finding the elusive highland cow in the winter was made simple by Calais, enjoyed seeing these majestic animals and taking pictures. All in all an outstanding trip to the Scottish Low/Highlands.
