For my trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, I purchased a 10-day, 20GB e-SIM. The deciding factor was that it was a China Telecom product, which I had used before. I completed the e-SIM activation in Japan, and while waiting for my checked baggage at Hanoi airport, I switched the SIM, manually set the APN, and after turning airplane mode on and off a couple of times, the connection worked immediately. I was able to maintain a stable connection not only in Hanoi city but also while traveling to Sapa and on the bus during my Ha Long Bay cruise. Incidentally, the smartphone I used was a Sharp AQUOS sense 10. If you are using a Japanese Android smartphone, you will likely need to manually set the APN, so you should familiarize yourself with that procedure, but I was able to use it comfortably in Vietnam.

After arriving at the airport in Thailand, I connected to the Wi-Fi, installed this eSIM, and activated it. It connected immediately. Later, I traveled to Vietnam, and even then, I was able to connect to the network without any special settings adjustments. I used it for a total of one week without any problems.
