Benrat Palace was built by Duke Carl Theodore in 1755-1769. It covers an area of more than 60 hectares and is the most beautiful Rococo building in Europe. There is a small lake in front of the palace. The pink palace is reflected on the mirror-like lake. Swans are leisurely swimming in the lake. Standing by the lake and looking up, they seem to be in a painting. Different from the Chinese palace garden design, the palace buildings actually only take up a small part of the huge area, and the rest are French gardens - manicured woods, towering white statues, long water channels.

Rhine embankment promenade is a waterfront promenade with a total length of approx. 1.5 km. In the 1990s, the road along this shoreline was moved into an underground tunnel, and the embankment was redesigned as a pedestrian space, becoming a waterfront destination shared by locals and visitors alike. The promenade is divided into two levels: the upper level is a tree-lined path flanked by rows of plane trees, with benches along the way. From the grand steps at Burgplatz or beside the old Rhine water gauge, you can descend to the lower embankment at water level, where the boat docks are located. On a clear day, sitting by the railing and looking out, you can enjoy views of the opposite bank, the iron bridge across the river, and passing boats. Watching the sunset while feeling the river breeze in the evening is a signature experience. Extending along the river, it passes by the City Hall and ends at the State Parliament building, the Rhine Tower, and the Media Harbour, connecting a beautiful waterfront panorama from the historic district to the modern harbor area.

Konigsallee is a tree-lined shopping boulevard with a total length of approx. 1 km. A canal fed by the Düssel River runs through the center, where chestnut trees line the banks, swans and wild ducks often swim, and small bridges with wrought-iron railings span the water, connecting the walkways on both sides. The two sides have distinct roles: the east side is home to numerous brand flagship stores and exquisite window displays, while the west side is dominated by office buildings, banks, and historic hotels. Standing on the west side to admire the tree-lined waterfront view on the opposite bank is very photogenic. The history of this boulevard is also quite colorful: it was originally named Chestnut Avenue. In 1848, when the Prussian King Frederick William IV passed by in a carriage, protesting citizens threw objects at him. To make amends with the King, the street was officially renamed Konigsallee in 1851, and this historical anecdote remains a popular cultural background story to this day.
