We traveled to the Douro Valley with two families (4 adults and 3 kids ages 11–13), and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our first stop was Quinta da Roêda (Croft), where we enjoyed a fun and relaxed port tasting. We then had lunch at a wonderful locals restaurant, Tábua D’aço, easily the best meal of our whole Porto trip, with incredible food and truly amazing staff.
After lunch, we enjoyed a scenic one-hour river cruise, followed by an olive oil and wine tasting at D’Origem, which ended up being our favorite stop of the day.
João was fantastic throughout the entire experience — attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented. He also did a great job engaging the kids, which made the day enjoyable for everyone. The car was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for our group.
Thank you, João, for making this such a memorable and special experience for our families.

This was one of the highlights of my Portugal trip! I ended up being the only person so it was nice to have a private tour with Alex, who was absolutely fantastic. The day was perfectly paced and didn't feel rushed at all. The Duoro Valley was beautiful and I loved the visit to Quinta do Seixo (one of the reasons I chose this tour). Other parts of the tour were enjoyable as well - had a lovely morning stop in Amarante for coffee at a riverside cafe, a nice local lunch and boat cruise in Pinhão, and finished with a second wine & olive oil tasting at D'Origem with more views of the valley. A highlight of the tour was Alex's company himself - he was incredibly warm, friendly, and knowledgable, sharing a lot about winemaking and local history with fun facts along the way, and he really made the day special. Thank you Alex for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this tour - ask for Alex! :)★

Lawrence was the best tour guide. He was personable, kind, and very knowledgable. You can tell he really loves what he does. Lawrence felt more like a friend than a guide. He brought the energy when we needed it, and he was very comfortable with the establishments we visited. We felt we were in great hands the whole trip! Plenty of delicious wine and food to keep the day full.
