Jennifer, a local Naxi, shared comprehensive insights into the local minority culture, Naxi life, their interactions with the Bi people, and the history of the Tea Horse Road, enriching our understanding of Shaxi's heritage. Upon our return to Lijiang, Jennifer arranged a tea ceremony and visits to a local Naxi restaurant and supermarket, allowing us to enjoy local tea and foods, offering a rare glimpse into Naxi culture. Our tour guide and driver, Grandma Yang, was a warm and down-to-earth woman who cared for her guests like a mother would her own children. She meticulously arranged the itinerary, ensuring everyone had oxygen, warmth, meals, and water. Even on the eve of departure, she showed her deepest concern. Grandma Yang's smile was as warm and radiant as the Yunnan sunshine, truly heartwarming. Grandma Yang was wonderful! However, she's still quite young; we can call her "Sister Yang" from now on.


