Absolutely beautiful! Being Maaori, I wasn't expecting to be "wow'd", it was more of my interest to the history of the area and to show my husband & children our culture... however, I was very blown away! The display, natural beauty, performances & food was AMAZING! I am planning to take my family 20+ to experience it with me. Very proud and this was very worth every cent! I would recommend this to every visitor and even us tangata whenua for a good evening out!★

We went as a group of 5 from the Polynesian Spa to experience the 1:30pm Scenic Maori Rock Carving Cruise. Bookings Manager, Anna assisted with reserving the booking for us.
Crew was great & friendly; they offered complimentary hot drinks. The experience was very informative as there was live commentary; it was great to see the Maori carving & learning the story behind it. They provided warm homemade muffins during the trip which was awesome , and freshly caught trout snack!!

Wowzer a not to miss! I have been to many national parks and nature preserves and this has to be up there in the top ten! A beautiful self-guided walk through the geothermal valley, surrounded by hotsprings, very cool vegetation and birds and all at your own pace, we took about three hours, you could do it in less or take the better part of the day. Absolutely stunning views and lots of birds to watch. We also took the boat trip at the end it was great and a better chance to see more geysers. Plus added benefit the Cap'n was great and had spent time piloting in Alaska waters so we had a good chat about that too. The walk is also easy for kids and even better when you are done there are buses that bring you back to the top/carpark so even good for us older folks and people with kids. :)
