our guide Sieggy, was great! a native of Akureyri and gave us lots of local info. the Forest Lagoon was so relaxing and we had plenty of time to spend there. we also got the option of being taken back to the ship or let off in town to explore. we explored and walked back to the ship (about 10 mins). Beautiful area, really enjoyed it.★

It really couldn't have been better; it was the best tour I've ever done. Our guide, Jon, was fantastic—knowledgeable, created a great atmosphere, and had everything under control. The bus driver also did a great job, even on such a long journey, and we always felt safe. And then, completely unexpectedly, the Northern Lights appeared in the evening, and we had plenty of time to see and photograph them. Another wonderful surprise for me: the waterfall at night—I hadn't expected that at all (plus the Northern Lights, a dream come true).Trip.com Picks
