On this full-day tour from Munich, you'll visit two breathtaking castles and the traditional village of Oberammergau. Travel by coach through the scenic German countryside to the legendary castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof. These architectural wonders are world-renowned for their elaborate design and historical significance. Both extraordinary structures were commissioned by King Ludwig II, known as the "Swan King." Ludwig built his dream castles in secluded areas of the Bavarian mountains. Both castles are a testament to the vision of Bavaria's fairytale king - you'll soon discover why many believe Neuschwanstein inspired the iconic Disney castle. After departing from Munich, you'll visit Linderhof Palace. Modeled after the Palace of Versailles, this French Rococo-style castle is surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens. A quick stop for shopping and photos in the charming village of Oberammergau will energize you for the afternoon. Here, you'll find examples of traditional woodcarving and buildings adorned with delightful frescoes. You'll arrive at the idyllic Neuschwanstein Castle around 1:00 PM, where you'll have approximately four hours to explore the castle and find the perfect spots to capture iconic photos to share with friends and family.Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace are not included in this tour. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a small group tour as you travel by luxury coach to the fairytale castles of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein, and the picturesque village of Oberammergau. Your tour includes plenty of legroom and Wi-Fi on the coach, comfortable seating, large panoramic windows, a professional guide and driver, snacks and drinks on the coach, and your castle entrance fees – all taken care of so you can relax and enjoy your day! Departing from Munich, you will travel along the motorway to the Bavarian Alps. Approximately 1.5 hours later, you will arrive at Linderhof Palace, where you will be guided to the palace entrance and have free time to explore the palace. Your guide will take care of all the necessary arrangements, so you can simply enjoy the experience! Your journey continues to Oberammergau, where you will have approximately 40 minutes to stroll through the quaint streets of this village, admiring the beautiful examples of traditional woodcarving for which it is famous. At approximately 1:00pm, you will travel along the famous Romantic Road to the foot of the magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle. Here, you will have the option to have lunch or walk to the Marienbrücke, the iconic viewpoint for a picture-perfect view of the castle. Upon arrival, your guide will collect your pre-booked timed entrance ticket to Neuschwanstein Castle. After a fun-filled day, relax as your luxury coach takes you back to Munich.
