Sushi Wakon is the brainchild of Chef Masuda, the chef of Tokyo's Michelin-starred restaurant "Sushi Masuda". Diners will see a Group of skilled sushi chefs use their decades of experience to create each exquisite dish. Their movements are professional and smooth, making the entire process like an elegant culinary meditation. Sushi Wakon uses the world's finest ingredients, which are flown in daily from Tokyo's famous Tsukiji fish market to the restaurant in Kyoto.Wakon's menu uses seasonal ingredients, guided by the fresh ingredients delivered daily from Tsukiji Fish Market. The restaurant also has an unrivalled selection of sake and wine, which go great with sushi.Every detail of the restaurant has been carefully crafted by respected artisans to embody Japan's sense of simple beauty and elegance. At the center of the restaurant is the eight-meter-long sushi counter, handcrafted from a single piece of Japanese cypress wood by one of Japan's greatest artisans. Each metal tile on the wall behind the sushi counter is handmade, paying homage to the traditional Japanese art of origami and kumiko.
