The castle exudes a medieval atmosphere with lavish interior decorations featuring numerous swan-themed ornaments, particularly the magnificent Throne Hall. Neuschwanstein Castle served as the inspiration for Disney's Cinderella Castle and Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.

Known for its mirror-like clarity, it's considered one of Germany's purest lakes. Surrounded by lush pines and towering peaks, the lake offers distinct seasonal scenery. King Ludwig II often played here during his childhood.
