I've long yearned to visit the beautiful Spring City of Kunming, and this time I brought my over-eighty-year-old mother to fulfill her long-held wish. Seeing the Stone Forest and Dianchi Lake was a must, but planning the itinerary with an elderly person was a challenge. Joining a tour group might be too much for her, taking public transport was too strenuous, and taking a taxi there might be difficult to find a ride back. I found this private tour on Ctrip, and the itinerary was excellent. It included visiting the world-renowned Stone Forest, seeing the shimmering waters of Dianchi Lake, and admiring the vibrant flowers at the Dounan Flower Market. I immediately booked it. After booking, customer service and the tour guide/driver contacted me to confirm the details and times. The lovely tour guide/driver, Xiao Zhang, arrived on time, providing warm and attentive service throughout the trip, driving quickly and steadily. At the attractions, she guided us along the routes, and my mother and I were very happy. I highly recommend this tour, and kudos to Ctrip's customer service and the tour guide!

A trip to Kunming isn't complete without experiencing the breathtaking natural wonders of the Stone Forest and the awe-inspiring World Intangible Cultural Heritage. Jiuxiang is also highly recommended. Many thanks to the driver for his two days of transportation, his enthusiastic explanations along the way, and his meticulous arrangements. Kudos to him! And thank you to the customer service staff for their patient answers. I will definitely come back to Yunnan again.

I waited from noon to evening the day before the trip, contacting online customer service several times. However, the tour group staff didn't contact me or mention pick-up. Around 8 PM, I directly complained to online customer service (because the platform's cancellation policy is before 7 PM the day before, which essentially meant I had no choice!). Shortly after the complaint, the tour group staff contacted me via WeChat to confirm pick-up and drop-off at the meeting point. The tour guide was very responsible throughout, explaining a lot about Yunnan and Kunming, and was very patient. Because there were too many tourist attractions and photo spots, the pace was fast, and only the highlights were covered. If you want to spend time taking photos at the attractions, this tour might not be suitable. As for the food, both the presentation and taste need significant improvement.

The schedule was well managed in advance of the booking. Since the city tour was included, they asked about the places I wanted to visit and actively reflected my preferences. The driver arrived at the hotel earlier than the scheduled time for pickup, and the condition of the vehicle was excellent. Although the driver did not speak English, he made a great effort to communicate using a translation app. The scenery at 석림 was absolutely amazing. There is a lot of walking involved, so comfortable sneakers are a must. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also essential. When I mentioned that I wanted to try local food, the driver recommended a mushroom soup, which was delicious. In particular, the cheese-like dish made from cow’s milk is a must-try. Traffic congestion in Kunming is quite severe. It is better to avoid visiting the Douyin Flower Market on weekends. and consider other city attractions instead.
