Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher are located in Clare on the west coast of Ireland, stretching several km along the Atlantic Ocean as an iconic section of the Wild Atlantic Way. The cliffs, formed by layers of shale and sandstone, plunge dramatically into the sea like a sheer-cut geological textbook, recording hundreds of millions of years of sedimentary history. The southern section near Hag's Head rises over 100 m, while the northern part near O'Brien's Tower reaches over 200 m.
