Carlisle Bay

Carlisle Bay is a calm, natural sheltered bay and one of the main entry points for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts in Barbados. The bay features clear, transparent blue-green water and a white sandy beach stretching along the bay. The water is calm, making it suitable for both swimming and snorkeling. This area is designated as a marine park, with several shipwrecks resting on the white sandy seabed. The shallower ones are just a few meters from the surface, while the deeper ones are only a little over 10m deep. From the century-old French tugboat "Berwyn" to the "Bajan Queen," which once operated as a party cruise ship before being submerged as an artificial reef, each has its own history. Schools of tropical fish swim around the wrecks, and green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles are frequently spotted here year-round.

Barbados Museum & Historical Society

Barbados Museum & Historical Society, a comprehensive museum integrating natural history and society. The museum is not large and was converted from a local military prison. The exhibition halls are divided into several sections: nature, history, social customs, oil paintings donated by collectors, and a children's gallery.
