The Potter Marsh Bird Sanctuary is a bird watching mecca in the Potter Marsh, Alaska Wildlife Sanctuary, which is part of the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge. Originally a coastal tidal flat, the construction of the Alaska Railroad separated it from the sea and gradually evolved into a large freshwater swamp. During the migration season, Porter Marsh is a stopover for large numbers of migratory birds such as swans. It attracts many bird watchers and photographers every year. Several sections of walking trails with a total length of nearly a mile have been built in the swamp, which is convenient for bird watchers to go deep into the swamp and watch nearby.Anchorage · 16.1km from downtown

Kenai Fjords National Park is located near Seward in southern Alaska, United States, and is known for its magnificent fjord landscapes formed by retreating glaciers. These deep, cold fjords are home to a rich variety of marine mammals, including sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals, Pacific white-sided dolphins, porpoises, orcas, humpback whales, and gray whales. The cliffs above the water are nesting and breeding grounds for various seabirds, such as horned puffins. The park also preserves active tidewater glaciers, and the sound and sight of glaciers calving into the sea are breathtaking. The nutrient-rich fjord waters also support a rich marine ecosystem, making it a prime location for enjoying the natural scenery of Alaska's polar coast.United States · Kenai Peninsula Borough

【Scenery】This Porter Marsh Area Bird Sanctuary gave us a beautiful walk along a path that provided interesting information about the state and its economy and history. Also spotted a mom and baby moose - the baby was only 10 feet off the trail - and kept us safe while we enjoyed an extra long stop to watch the moose eat (while the mom watched from the bushes). Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Williwa Campground and hiked the trails. It was very nice. Lots to do. Be sure to check out the nature trail when the salmon come upriver! I believe this is part of the USFS Chugach NF.

This is the landmark of the city and is located in the center of the city. Since the hotel is near the monument, I always pass by here when I go in and out. The weather is cold and I don’t see many people coming here to visit.

Turnagain Bay is a very beautiful bay in Alaska in the summer, with a very long coastline. However, it is definitely not very beautiful in the winter, as the sea surface will be covered with ice and snow.

The best thing about Kenai Fjords National Park is the glaciers. You can take a boat or a small plane. The glaciers are quite stunning, and the lake below is as calm as water. It's a very interesting contrast. Nature is really magical.

【Scenery】 Seward Coastal Park is not to be missed. 【Fun】 Boat tour. First-class operation run by a Navy lieutenant. Hike off the glacier. Other trails at the end of the road in the Lowell Point area.
