Comfort Inn & Suites Glen Mills - Concordville

For us the location was great! The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Service, for the most part, was very good, with the only exception being the gentleman who manned the front desk on arrival. Not friendly at all. It felt like we were an interruption. Breakfast was your standard fair. Scrambled, powdered eggs and sausage or bacon, and make your own waffles. Coffee, juice choices, bagels, and packaged sweets. It was good and it does make for a fast and convenient meal. The WIFI on our floor was horrible! In this day in age, this is unacceptable! I ended up using the computer by the breakfast area to set up our outgoing flight! The building is becoming dated but, there was construction going on so perhaps they are updating. The bathroom did not have a fan or any towel racks. Unfortunately, it appears that people have been using the shower curtain rod as it is tilted downward and you really need to make adjustments to avoid a wet floor. There are no handles for the physically impaired. Getting in and out of this slippery bathtub is difficult. Our toilet tank had a leak and frequently had to reload water. Finally, the HVAV is good and it is also loud. But if you have traveled a lot, this is fairly common. An extra note. We decided that we really didn't need a rental and would use Lyft/Uber. It worked well but there is rarely a car nearby. We made sure we allowed time to get picked. Because of its location and that it was typical of a hotel of this ranking, I would stay there again.
SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh Monroeville

Due to the passing of a beloved friend's father, my husband and I had occasion to go to the Pittsburgh area. I had spoken to Kyarah earlier in the day with a few questions. She was so professional, kind and helpful. We arrived in the evening and because of the location, we first rode past it. However, when we were able to safely turn around, we did so, without incident. We were checked in without issue and Kyarah had made sure before she left for the day that our room was up to standards. Everything was in order. This location is an older property and could use some updating but we were accommodated beautifully. The next morning we were able to have breakfast with a nice selection of items. There were several people already in the dining area. We were able to be adequately distanced from others since Covid 19 is still here. We stayed overnight for two nights and as easily as we were checked in, we were checked out. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely consider staying here.

My husband and I have stayed here over 15 times in the last 3 years and it has always been our go-to hotel when staying in York The customer service has always been great but this time it was exceptional! From the second we walked in Jacob at the front desk completely took care of us! I had called the hotel several times before this visit and spoke with Jacob as well . He went above and beyond to research our questions and accommodate all of our special requests . He is outstanding ! I also want to give a shout out to Hope the operations manager who also completely took care of us on our check out date . Both went above and beyond and really went the extra mile . The hotel lobby area was perfect for our small gathering in the evening! A wonderful and warm and inviting space to hang out . Our rooms have always been super clean and most often allowing for an early check in . Done hesitate to book here !
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh-South Side, an IHG Hotel

South Side
This Holiday Inn Express is a dump, every other Holiday Inn Express has been great except this one and apparently management oversight doesn't care as this is another very similar review from others that did not care much for this hotel. Filthy, had to change rooms due to the mold and mildew in the bathroom shower and the sewer odor on the floor. New room on a different floor was slightly cleaner until you see all the hair on the bathroom floor and no fan, after a 1 hot shower, the ceiling is dripping with water. Bought clorex wipes to clean the area. Found a dirty shirt from a previous guest on the floor underneath an ottoman. $22/night for parking is a ripoff and the gate to get into the lot is broke. The entry door in the back near the parking lot, that is supposed to open with your room card, is propped open night and day, must be broke and can be a security issue. Stairwell had trash in it. Couldn't wait to be out of the room.
Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia Penn's Landing, an IHG Hotel

We chose this hotel because it offered breakfast and the others in the area did not. I am so glad we went with Holiday Inn Exprs Penns Landing! There breakfast was hot and wonderful. Best breakfast in a hotel hands down! It was walking distance to most all historical sites. I was worrying because it seemed on the map a bit farther out than other options and I am totally out of shape. I am probably in the heaviest ten percent of the population (morbidly obese). It was a very easy walk for me to Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin Gravesite, Elfareth Alley, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Liberty Visitor Center and great local dining. The location, room and breakfast was great. Clean hotel in very safe area. I felt very safe even at night. I will say the interstate noise is incredibly loud at night. If you are a light sleeper go elsewhere. However, we are a family if heavy sleepers and I was the only one who noticed the interstate noise but not enough to keep me awake. Loved this place

This was our first trip- overall we had a lot of fun! Our 6 and 2.5 year old loved the water rides and the waterpark in general. We spent the majority of our time there. We had a Kid Cabin suite which we all liked a lot. There was plenty of space to relax after a day at the waterpark. We didn't do many meals there, which I think was a positive! We ordered breakfast and it was expensive but the kids liked it. There were some cons- the room above us was LOUD, so much so it was hard to sleep and I wanted to go home a day early. There were a LOT of cigarette butts on the ground outside the balconies. A LOT. Sadly that has more to do with rude people than the resort. Staff were all really nice and I was relieved that all the guests were wearing masks in general areas. There was plenty of space at the park (we went Mon-Thurs) so we never felt uncomfortable. Overall, it was a fun winter break that we all needed!

Overall, it was a comfortable stay. The room was large and had good AC. We did not try breakfast. The staff was helpful, and there was plenty of parking available. It was good value for the stay. The room was fairly quiet, which is always a good thing.

We asked for city view and our room was on the 20th floor. Gorgeous view! The room was clean, everything we needed was provided at a reasonable price. The pool on the 4th floor with a view of the iconic yellow bridge was fantastic. Every staff member we spoke with was friendly and helpful, with great pointers for restaurants. The next time we go to Pittsburgh we will be staying here again.

First off, if you’re here reading the reviews, congrats, you’re already halfway to, “if you don’t expect too much from me, you may not be let down.” With the reviews being one negative after another, we had low expectations. Truths: there are some parts of the resort that are run down. Like the carpet on the stairs. But I could care less about that. There are activities that get cancelled due to not enough participation. For example, no one showed up for indoor soccer (so the staff handed us the ball & my husband & 10 yr old & their events employee kicked the ball around for a bit.) We wanted to play mini-golf 1/2 hr before it got dark but the building next to it was locked to get the putters. Came to find out later that ALL equipment was to be checked out from the bowling area. Also, it’s true that sometimes a slide in the water park is closed. This is due to the fact that teenagers call out & an understaffed water slide= liability. Now that’s normally an unacceptable reason anywhere else. but I guess this is why I paid $160 night and not 300. And got a free water park pass & breakfast for their special. For further context, we did get what seemed like a renovated room in the “Main” Town center building. It was nice, clean, and spacious, with a stove, oven, microwave, oversized mini-fridge. The other 2 buildings are The Lodge & Willowbrook, which I know nothing about but you have to drive a 1/2 mile to get there from town center but Town Center is where the arcade, pool, water park, billiards/ping pong, movie theatre, indoor sports complex is. Movie theatre is a nice touch. 3 different movies a day, free to hotel guests. We loved the beach area in front of “The Lodge” building. Beach bar, lounge chairs, swim area. If you don’t go looking for the negative you’ll be harder-pressed to find it. A few other tips: -bring your own towels for the water park. They give none. -Try to get a couple extra bath towels on your first day. You may have to grab them yourself from an unsuspecting housekeeper’s cart. For some reason you can ask 3x and still won’t get towels. -be aware that the pool or water park may be open only from 12-8. -the bowling alley & arcade is where to inquire bout events going on & not going on.
