Booked Superior Villa with breakfast for 2night stay. Villa was well furnished, Tv with tv box, wifi, kettle, coffee & tea bag provided as well, washroom was big & toiletries provided. Only short coming is telephone not working in all rooms. Need to walk to reception for assistance. Resort was well located with a hill top restaurant serving adequate breakfast. Lunch & dinner menu also not expensive not to mention the good view overseeing Mekong river and Laos border. Last but not least very close to all tourist attractions. Sunrise viewing at Phu Tok, Kaeng Khut Kru just 10 to 15 min drive.

Funky. trendy hotel with a lot of metalwork! Actually it all goes together well and ends up a cool setup. Our room even had a kitchen sink and a bench top if you are staying a few days. What else was good? the wi-fi, the fridge, the air-con, the bed, the shower, the balcony and the electrical power points in the right places. Good, friendly service too. The young man who checked us in, served up a great breakfast the next morning, The breakfast was a choice of 3, all Thai style. I went with rice porridge, which was excellent. It also had a mini-baguette Viet style, apple slice, a choice of real coffee and a boiled egg,. This hotel is great value for money. Two things to watch out for) as other reviewers have said it is noisy at night because it's right next to a few bars (but that might be what you want with many restaurants too) and 2) the floor in room has a few levels so put the light on, if you get up in the night!

Chiang Khan Walking Street
I recommend it. Clean accommodation, next to the walking street, along the Mekong River. There's a 7-Eleven next to the hotel. The auntie is friendly. Very cute.
Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort

This resort is too far to walk from the river walk/walking street, but we had rented a car and it's a very short drive. The trade-off is worth it - this is an extremely nice resort, the best we've stayed at in the north outside of any big city. The room was spacious with balcony and great river view. They provided a cot for our baby. The grounds are very well kept with lots of interesting things to look at (it's a selfie paradise!) Good breakfast buffet, everyone very friendly. Not worth dropping a star for, but I think the restaurant could open a bit later (the kitchen closes at 7pm but no rush to finish eating). Also be careful with the shower, it takes a while but the water can then get scalding hot and high pressure. With care though, it was good to have a nice warm shower with good pressure - yes, a contradiction, it's too much of a good thing and you need to be careful. Anyway it really felt like we were on holiday, it's a fabulous place to relax and honestly the staff were exceptionally friendly (it turns out that people here love babies, but they were always helpful anyway). If you have a car then it's easily the best choice, if not then consider it anyway but I can't comment on any transport arrangements to the walking street.

I was guiding a tour to the Phee Ta Khon Ghost Festival last weekend (July), great fun. We stayed at this resort, 10 min drive from Dansai. Of course the resort was full for 2 nights, day before and after almost empty. Rooms large, good. Mattress far too hard, the management should invest in soft tops on the stone-hard mattress. My room had a moldy smell the first day I came, most likely because the room has not been used/not opened window for long time. Recommendation: The room you plan to give to people please open the windows 24h before occupation in order to reduce the humidity in the room. And please add at least one English speaking news, sport or movie channel into the TV satellite programs, only Thai on TV. Rest all good. Thanks for friendly hospitality.

Nice Thai style hotel in the centre of town close to night food street. They apologised as they only had a single room left. What I got was a large room tiled floor (cooler) 2 windows with a view of the park, fridge, double bed,TV (Thai only) ensuite (shower hot but water pressure limited. The place was clean and reasonably maintained staff were present and spoke more English than my Thai,ie not a lot, all this and a small gecko as a room mate. I paid B399.Lots of food place nearby, I recommend a Thai place exit hotel turn left, left at roundabout and it is a few metres down on the right

Chiang Khan Walking Street
Set in an old folk house, Sneta Chian Khan was renovated in 2013 and consists of 7 rooms. Each has its own characteristics, but the structure feels nostalgic and calms down. I stayed at the Attic Room The room is on the 2nd floor. When you enter the room, it is a loft type room and the loft part is like a bedroom. There are windows on the ceiling roof, which reminds me of my childhood like a secret base. Surrounded by the warmth of the wood, it feels pretty good. Similar to Baan Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn in Chantaburi (Baan Luang also reports on Tripadvisor so check it out if you like) Location of the Mekong River on the back facing Walking Street The lively sound of Walking Street at night In the morning, after 6 o'clock, you can hear the prayer sound of the monk in Dhutanga. Breakfast of local cuisine is included (I received 2 servings (laughs)) The staff / husband is very cheerful and kind with a good personality. I don't speak English ... I can understand Thai, but I wonder if the answer is an Isan accent ... It's okay! I can understand my feelings. ●●●● ○ and 4 were because it was itchy and I couldn't sleep because it seemed that there was a tick on the futon. I fought with an insect repellent in the middle of the night, but in the end I wore a long-sleeved hoodie, long trousers and socks and fought ... Without that, it would be a big negative point, but the staff / husband's The personality, building, location, breakfast for 2 people (laughs), etc. were ●●●● ○. When I checked out, I shook hands firmly and said goodbye. I'll come back later!!
