The service was absolutely amazing! Every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and solve any issues we had. They were so warm and attentive! Plus, there was a lovely lady at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which made communication incredibly convenient. The Japanese-style breakfast was delicious! And the free all-day selection of various drinks and alcoholic beverages was a real lifesaver in the summer heat. The pool and hot springs were also fantastic, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both kids and adults. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay!
The hotel isn't far from the Blue Cave for snorkeling or AEON Mall Rycom, making it a great base if you're planning activities in central Okinawa. You can also stroll along Sunset Beach in American Village, and there are many unique shops in the area worth exploring at your leisure. The hotel itself is excellent; the rooms are quite spacious, and with a sofa bed for the kids, all three of us slept comfortably. The best surprise was having a washing machine, laundry detergent, and a balcony in the room – perfect for washing clothes and swimsuits right away. It would be even better if they could install a clothes drying rack on one corner of the balcony, haha. The front desk staff spoke excellent English, but their pace was really fast, which made it a bit hard for me to follow since my English isn't that strong.
Pros:
We were upgraded to a family room, which was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. The small table on the tatami area was perfect for a relaxing drink.
All the essential facilities were available. Apart from the bathroom feeling a bit dated, the hotel was generally good and quite clean.
There's a direct bus service from the airport to the hotel; we took the Airport Bus OAS on this trip.
The aquarium is relatively close. We couldn't find a taxi on the fireworks night and had to walk for 30 minutes, though it's typically just a 5-minute taxi ride.
Breakfast was decent, but the selection wasn't extensive, so it might get repetitive if you're staying for many days.
Cons:
The pillows had a strange smell, and even after requesting several replacements, we encountered the same issue. Luckily, we had brought our own pillowcases.
It seemed daily housekeeping wasn't provided by default. We returned to find our room hadn't been touched. Fortunately, we ran into a staff member and asked them to clear the trash and replenish our drinking water.
The location is decent, a bit far from Onna Village itself, which makes it much quieter. Walking around here feels like Chiang Mai many years ago – laid-back, with very few commercial establishments, and peaceful.
There aren't many restaurants on the street right outside the hotel (the Okinawan restaurant directly opposite isn't good! Don't go there). Remember to make reservations in advance; we couldn't get into any place during dinner time and ended up eating at FamilyMart 🫠.
As for the hotel, being by the sea, it's probably a bit humid. The hallway had a slight musty smell, and the common areas were just okay, not particularly refined for a Hilton-level establishment.
The breakfast offered a decent plant-based local yogurt; everything else was pretty standard.
The kids' play area closes quite early, at 8:30 PM. It's great for very young children, but for a 2-year-old, it closes too soon, as it was already shut by the time we finished dinner and came back.
The beach has quite a lot of coarse sand and pebbles. It's advisable to wear beach shoes, otherwise, it can be a bit rough on the feet. However, the 'jellyfish' sea is still beautiful.
Being able to see the stunning sunset from the room made it all worthwhile.
There aren't many activities for kids under 3. The glass-bottom boat tour to see fish wasn't expensive, but honestly, we didn't see anything. For a 2-year-old, it was just a boat ride.

The hotel's location isn't great. Apart from a large supermarket nearby, there's nothing else around, and it's also quite a distance from Kokusai Dori. The room itself was just okay. Housekeeping only came every two days, and they didn't even replace bath towels or provide bottled water. The front desk staff were unhelpful, and the check-in process was incredibly slow. When I called them, they couldn't understand English, so I had to go downstairs and use a translation app on my phone to communicate.
The breakfast and dinner options were honestly fantastic. There were plenty of options that ranged from Italian to traditional Japanese. I really enjoyed the night we grilled at our table.
The entrance to the room was stunning, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The location was conveniently a ten-minute drive from the aquarium, with a shuttle service also available. Many nearby dining options were available, and the sea views were lovely. We chose not to have breakfast due to the price 3300 yen. Free parking was plentiful. However, we did find that the air conditioning could be improved, as a setting of 20 degrees was insufficiently cool. Additionally, the pool's operating hours (9 AM to 6 PM) seemed somewhat limited, and the gym could benefit from additional strength training equipment. However, I would definitely recommend staying here and would return.

A major highlight of the hotel is its airport shuttle service. The minibus operates precisely on schedule. However, on my return trip after check-out, I just missed the bus by literally half a minute and had to wait another half an hour for the next one. The driver was very professional and always proactive in helping with luggage when getting on and off. My favorite part was the hotel breakfast; apart from sushi, the selection of seafood, milk, coffee, and delicate pastries were all superb. I also enjoyed the hotel's hot springs (onsen); a daily soak really helped melt away the fatigue. The toiletries provided at the onsen were also of good quality. The bar and the paid swimming pool on the 14th floor offer fantastic beach views, making them excellent spots for sunset watching. The hotel's surroundings are convenient, with supermarkets, convenience stores, and small restaurants nearby. Naminoue Shrine is right next door, and the beach is just a 10-minute walk away. The only downside is the inconvenient transportation. Getting to any attraction requires either taking a taxi or walking over 1.5 km to catch a bus or monorail. Despite the language barrier, using a translation app to communicate with the staff always yielded helpful and satisfactory responses.
We absolutely made the right choice with this beachfront hotel! The location is superb – we had direct ocean views from our room's balcony, and sleeping to the sound of the waves at night was simply wonderful. Our room was spotless and fully equipped with all necessary amenities, ensuring a very comfortable and convenient stay. With the beach right downstairs, we could simply change and walk straight out to enjoy it – no long commutes needed. The staff were also very friendly, making the overall experience incredibly relaxing. It's the perfect choice if you're looking for a relaxing stay without venturing off the island.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently just a 5-minute walk from the subway station – an easy stroll even with luggage. The meeting point for day tours is also a short 8-minute walk away. With large department stores, drugstores, and numerous restaurants in the vicinity, you'll find everything you need. Even for those unfamiliar with Okinawa, the hotel's central and accessible location provides a great sense of security and convenience.
The breakfast truly deserves a special mention. While the variety might not be extensive, I enjoyed it every morning for four days without getting bored. The dishes were consistently fresh, offering a good selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. All amenities are thoughtfully placed by the elevators on the first floor, allowing you to easily grab coffee sachets or other items on your way up, then brew them in your room and enjoy the view. This hotel truly offers excellent value for money.
Although officially a four-star hotel, it also provides self-service laundry and dryers, which is an incredibly convenient feature, especially for longer stays. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserANA was an amazing hotel, and our stay in Okinawa was absolutely wonderful! The amenities were top-notch and so relaxing, making our trip even more enjoyable. The area was beautiful, and the views from our room were breathtaking.
A highlight was PST Pizza, which was delicious and conveniently located right by the beach. The breakfast was really good and worth it. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to visit again!
JJUpon arrival at the Southwest Grand Hotel, one is immediately struck by the calibre of design sensibilities that grace the establishment. Our room exhibited a masterful fusion of contemporary elegance and practical luxury, with thoughtfully appointed furnishings and refined finishes throughout. The intelligent spatial arrangement maximised both comfort and functionality, whilst the sophisticated colour palette created an atmosphere of understated opulence.
The hotel's facilities proved equally impressive, with particular mention deserved for the meticulously maintained swimming pool and comprehensively equipped fitness centre. These amenities demonstrated the property's unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction across all facets of the hospitality experience.
Breakfast service warrants special commendation, offering a veritable cornucopia of culinary delights that catered admirably to diverse palates. From impeccably executed Okinawa classics to inspired international offerings, the gastronomic range was nothing short of remarkable. The quality of ingredients was patently evident in each dish, reflecting the kitchen's dedication to sourcing premium produce.
The exclusive lounge service elevated our stay to extraordinary heights, providing a sanctuary of refined comfort accompanied by attentive yet discreet service. The curated selection of refreshments and light fare throughout the day ensured guests remained splendidly catered for between mealtimes—a thoughtful touch that exemplifies genuine hospitality.
Perhaps most noteworthy was the exceptional staff performance across all departments. Room service was delivered with flawless precision and genuine warmth, whilst the housekeeping team maintained immaculate standards with remarkable efficiency. The front-of-house personnel displayed particular resourcefulness in facilitating car park tickets, navigating potential complexities with ease and ensuring guests experienced no inconvenience whatsoever.
The Southwest Grand Hotel stands as a paragon of contemporary hospitality, where exceptional physical attributes are matched by equally impressive service standards. Their collective commitment to guest satisfaction ensures this establishment remains a distinguished choice for the discerning traveller.
__WeChat28936****I used to stay near Cape Manza whenever I visited Okinawa, but this time I wanted to try a different beach, so I booked the Moon Beach Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained and quite nice. The room was surprisingly spacious. I didn't book a sea-view room, but if you have the option, definitely go for it – it's absolutely worth it!
For breakfast, there are two choices: a Japanese set meal or a more standard Western-style buffet. The room key is quite unique; it's shaped like a seahorse. On the ground floor, there's a shop selling beachwear, which is a good option if you haven't brought any.
Eating out near the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of options. There are also many diving schools and car rental places nearby. Some diving schools even offer Chinese-speaking services, so it's worth checking out if you're interested.
I'll definitely be back next year! 🤩🥳
LLiulangjinxingHoshinoya's service was first-rate. I highly recommend the horseback riding, which was a unique experience. The infinity pool is beautiful, and there are plenty of snorkeling spots nearby. The kids had a blast, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was plentiful, and the surroundings were beautiful. The only downside was the Wi-Fi wasn't working, and they couldn't fix it. The hotel immediately offered to change rooms, but I didn't consider it due to my heavy luggage. Even if I did, the cost of cleaning wouldn't be cheap. They suggest better equipment management, and Ctrip did everything they could to accommodate. Thank you so much! This was the only time I wanted to give a negative review, but I changed my mind because of the excellent service at Hoshinoya. I maintain my high rating and recommend it!
GGuest UserSince 2015, we have visited this hotel numerous times and always enjoyed its wide array of amenities. The hotel features a game room, public bath, spa, and sauna, ensuring guests have plenty of ways to relax and unwind. Additionally, it offers a diverse menu of activities, including unique marine sports, making it perfect for those seeking adventure. Situated within the Okinawa National Beach Park, the hotel provides easy access to the beach, allowing guests to step out and enjoy the beautiful coastline.
The hotel also houses three stores, offering convenient shopping options at any time. We especially appreciated receiving free coupons when room service wasn’t required. Breakfast at the hotel is truly exceptional, with a variety of choices available. We particularly enjoyed the sushi bowls served on two mornings during our stay. The dining area is thoughtfully designed, with both indoor and outdoor seating that ensures privacy between tables. Dining while gazing at the stunning sea view was a delightful experience.
However, one issue marred our otherwise pleasant stay. On the night of our arrival, two family members used the public bath and were informed that the fee was 300 yen per person. Yet, upon checkout, we discovered we had been charged 1800 yen for their visit. Despite asking the receptionist twice for clarification, she insisted this was the correct charge for two people. My family members noted that other guests had paid 300 yen in cash before entering the bath, but since they didn’t have cash on hand, the fee was billed to our room. This discrepancy felt unfair and left us disappointed.
Overall, despite this billing issue, we greatly enjoyed our time at Rizza Sea Park Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

HHailey bbOverall, the hotel is good. However, I think it would be wonderful if the hotel can make some improvement in several things. 1) We knew that the wifi wasn't free, so I prepared some moives for my child. However, I think the hotel disabled the usb function. And free wifi have to be a standard offer nowadays. 2) No one clean the sand at the bottom of the swimming pool, so the water quality isn't good. Luckily, my 3 years child didn't get sick. 3) I stayed in 3 hotels in my trip to Okinawa this time, all the other two hotels offered special Okinawa coffee drip coffee. However, this hotel only provided the normal coffee powder that you could see in economy hotel. 4) This is the only hotel that didn't provide us child toothbrush set. Anyway, the hotel location is fine, we found two supermarkets right after crossing the Sesoko bridge.
GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and comfortable, with excellent soundproofing. The staff were incredibly accommodating, striving to meet all reasonable requests. The hotel is beachfront, offering fantastic ocean views, and they also arrange paid snorkeling trips. My children absolutely loved it! There are small barbecue restaurants nearby, though reservations are required. The only minor downsides are its distance from convenience stores and from Naha itself; a taxi ride from Naha costs approximately 14,000 JPY.
AAnonymous UserLocation: Excellent! Just 400 meters from the Naha Kūkō Station west exit. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs, and the amazing SAN-A mall is next door. Okinawa DFS is also directly behind the hotel.
Facilities: On the first floor, there's a free coffee machine and free manga for rent.
Downside: There's no smoking area either at the hotel entrance or inside the hotel itself. The designated smoking area is located in the hotel's parking lot.
