The open-air bath was amazing!
The changing room, shower room, and balcony
open-air bath were all connected, which was great.
The air purifier and the corners of the room were a little rough, but it wasn't too bad.
The staff were very helpful and polite when I checked in!
There were some shops open until around 10 PM, so I could go for a walk even after relaxing at the hotel!
I couldn't go this time, so I'll save it for next time. (T_T)
I was shocked that the room service I ordered was cold.
The room didn't have a microwave, which was a problem! The food was delicious!! There was also a snack and drink set that looked delicious!
Thank you so much!
Hotel was well located and easy to find. Room was comfortable but no housekeeping if you stay consecutive nights. Fresh towels were just placed in a bag and hung outside our door. They did not enter the room to clear rubbish nor place the fresh towels or make the beds even though I specifically requested it. Carpark was free. Coin laundry was also available.
True to its five-star rating, the service was attentive and the facilities were comfortable. The breakfast was lavish, and the dining environment was elegant. The Pearl hot spring was a unique highlight. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely choose to stay here again.
The room size is generally enough, the hot spring is reliable, and the location is good, only 4 kilometers away from Ueno Castle. This hot spring is open to the public, so many people come, but the hot spring pool is also relatively large.
Booked this as a side trip from Osaka to escape the city and have some quiet time.
Set in a tiny village in the middle of a mountainous & forested area alongside a beautiful river with tons of waterfalls, very picturesque and perfect for walking around.
The hotel itself is immaculate with great amenities including large bathing areas.
Food was incredible and service was top-notch with staff that were always friendly, helpful and eager to please.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Japanese-style onsen hotel in a tranquil setting.
We used this hotel as a family celebration trip. The facilities were beautiful and lovely, but what really impressed us was the warm and wonderful service from the staff. Due to the earthquake in Russia, trains were stopped and we had no means of transportation, but they extended our check-out time and were very accommodating.
The food was delicious, and each dish was carefully prepared. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying, with so many options, including Japanese and Western cuisine, that we couldn't finish it all. We signed up for morning yoga, and started the morning off right in the open space surrounded by greenery on the property, listening to the birds chirping and feeling the breeze, which was a wonderful way to start the day.
Next time we visit, we'd like to enjoy a cruise or something similar.
The room I grabbed for the fireworks festival is not convenient in terms of transportation. The nearest one is probably JR Sangu Station (stations in the wild suburbs don’t have that kind of station). It takes 15 minutes to walk to the hotel. The way is Tianye Road. Don’t doubt it, it is more suitable for people with cars. , there is a large supermarket opposite the hotel, and next to it is a convenience store and (it seems) an Internet celebrity dessert shop. The room size is by Japanese standards, the sanitary services are also good, and there is a large bath.
It was convenient and close to the destination. There is a large and free parking lot for your peace of mind. There is a bathhouse, although it is not very large, and it was nice to be able to take a relaxing bath. My child was happy to be lent an Anpanman bath set. I didn't use the breakfast buffet because I was leaving early in the morning, but the breakfast buffet at the route inn was delicious with a large variety of items, so I'd like to use it next time. There is also a convenient restaurant where you can have dinner.
Perhaps because it was crowded, there was always a waiting list at the front desk, which was inconvenient as it took a long time to receive the PIN card for the women's bath and the bath set.
I was happy to find a water server in the room.
At dinner, the staff went around to each table taking photos with their smartphones, and at breakfast they went around to the tables handing out freshly baked croissants; their friendly, smiling attitude was wonderful.

TTianjiaThe hotel is very overpriced for an old facility. We booked an oceanview room but the windows are blocked with bars and can barely be opened. Our room on the second floor could barely see the ocean. Furniture and decoration scream OLD.
Most front desk workers are not Japanese. They claim to have an ”international crew” but the problem is they don't know much about Japan. When we asked the doorman about taking trains, he didn't have a crew because he just got to Japan from another Asian country. On the other hand, the restaurants only have Japanese workers and no one speaks English. We booked an 8-course dinner. The chef was going around to explain the dishes to guests but just left us when he found out we don't speak Japanese. The menu is in Japanese only.
This hotel also charged us at 135:1 foreign exchange rate while all other hotels charged 142-144:1 JPY-USD. It's not a foreigner friendly hotel and way overpriced for what it is.
GGuest UserThere should be relatively few tourists in Toba itself. It is inconvenient if the hotel is on the mountain without a car. It is estimated that there were less than 10 groups of guests staying that day. The small bath in the room is only for one person. The size of the bathtub is very small, and it looks like there is a period of time. No one is using the time

NNuonuokafeiThere is a shuttle bus at Kashikojima Station. Find the driver of the hotel bus. The suite will immediately notify the Toyota car to pick you up. It takes three to five minutes by car. After arriving at the hotel, you can enjoy the 5-star service. All rooms face the sea and the sun is shining. The facilities are high-end and complete with 100 square meters. The small refrigerator is all free, and there are Mikimoto skin care products. The lounge has a terrace with an excellent view, and the food and drinks prepared are also exquisite. The service here is perfect. I checked in on my birthday. When checking in, I was asked to choose whether the check-in was on my birthday anniversary. I didn't want to bother others to choose sightseeing. As a result, the staff of the French restaurant on the 5th floor sent greeting cards and beautiful desserts. The chef came to bless me kindly, gentle and decent. Please experience the hotel's cruise ship. 3,600 yen per person is very worthwhile. It takes 45 minutes to visit Ago Bay. The memorial hall of the G7 meeting is a few minutes away from the building next door, and the car can be sent there at any time. In addition to good facilities, this hotel can host high-level meetings. More importantly, there is a perfect service team here. Everything is great. Staying for one night is unsatisfactory. 11 is the commemoration of Yamazaki Toyoko's stay in ”White Tower” that I like. I recommend the French restaurant on the 5th floor, which has a better view and the dishes taste great. I had breakfast at the Japanese restaurant on the 4th floor, but the view was a little worse and the taste was a little salty.

AAnihaseyoTransportation: Take the Shimakaze train to Kashikojima, which takes about two and a half hours. Contact the hotel in advance for a pick-up from Kashikojima station.
The hotel does not provide airport pick-up, but can arrange car hire for guests.
Transportation is very inconvenient.
Facilities: The facilities are very good. The interior styles of the three Aman hotels in Japan are very similar, and the rooms and public areas are well-maintained.
Service: The service is very good.
Food: Due to the hotel's remote location, there are no restaurants nearby, so all meals were eaten at the hotel.
The food at the restaurant was surprisingly good (I thought it wouldn't be good).
Dinner reservations must be made in advance, as the hotel is fully booked on holidays, and the restaurant's dinner slots are also fully booked. You either have to wait until 8:30 pm or eat at the bar.
If you choose to eat dinner at the bar, you won't be able to get shabu-shabu.
The lunch menu is different; it's a simple meal, but acceptable.
The first set meal was a regular set meal, which included a beef dish with a green sauce that was super delicious; I used it to mix with rice.
The second set meal included shabu-shabu, with options for Ise lobster, Matsusaka beef, and local beef; I chose the local beef. The reddish-brown sauce in the shabu-shabu was absolutely delicious.
Activities: Chinese-speaking guides can be requested for tours of Ise.
The hotel didn't email us in advance to inform us about activities or inquire about arrangements. Many activities were unavailable upon check-in.
Summary: Aside from the inconvenient transportation and the lack of advance email communication about activities during my stay, everything was fine.
GGuest UserWe stayed with a total of 4 people with 3 adult friends and 1 4 year old child. The pool was available until 18:00 on the same day and 10:00 the next day 〜 14:00 at an additional fee, and there was a jet relaxing corner in the indoor heated pool and it was quite refreshing.
The hot springs after that were free and fun.
