"It's an old hotel, and the wooden furniture in the room is worn out. The front desk staff were very polite, but... the funniest part was the buffet restaurant. In all my travels to Japan, this is the first time I've encountered such an unfriendly attitude. I saw from the original description that it was meant to serve Chinese guests, but a young, thin staff member in the restaurant actually said they don't serve Chinese people (and with a very bad attitude). Even when I asked the front desk to intervene, it was useless. I don't know what Trip.com's legal team is doing; they just said there's no evidence. Anyway, I advise everyone to avoid this hotel. It's a shame the polite front desk staff were wasted. Although they apologized repeatedly when I checked out, the bad impression won't disappear. If you absolutely have to stay at this hotel, choose the Kaiun Japanese restaurant for dining; they are much more polite."

"The onsen is big and amazing. The buffet dinner and breakfast are sumptuous with quality food! The room is spacious and comfortable. The only setback is the hotel is quite old and dated in the common places. With the quality food and best onsen, it's still a value for money hotel to be in."

"First, we loved the onsen and its services, where we soaked in three pools of different temperatures, sweated in a sauna, then alternately cooled ourselves in cold baths. Second, room services were excellent despite its furnishings seemed to be run down a bit. Third, its location is central to travel most places of interest, which spreads out in Kagoshima Prefecture."

"A hot spring hotel near the sea, a ten-story Japanese-style sea view room, with an unobstructed sea view outside the window, the scenery is very good. I gave you a sand bath coupon for the hotel's own sand bath hot spring, so you don't even have to go to the Sand Le Hall. The specialty of Ibusuki is the sand bath. You can’t take pictures, so just use the pictures on the official website to take a look. You can soak for ten minutes at most, half the amount for children, and a staff member will wake you up when the time is up. The swimming pool is open during this season. The hotel has a free shuttle service to Ibusuki Station in the morning, leaving at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. You need to make a reservation one day in advance. Dinner was Satsuma cuisine, which was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and delicious taste. Breakfast is buffet style. The Iwasaki Hotel next door actually had small fireworks on 8.12 nights, and I was lucky enough to catch them. The foreign girl at the front desk speaks very good English. She introduced herself as an expatriate from Dubai who has been working in Japan for 5 years. Now she speaks Japanese better than English 🙂"

"The hotel was very clean and the hospitality was excellent. It was a shame that it rained heavily on our first day, but perhaps because of that, we were able to check in earlier than expected, which allowed us to relax comfortably. The complimentary ice cream and ramen were a pleasant surprise. The staff were all very attentive and polite, making for a truly enjoyable holiday. I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you!"

"I booked this hotel because it had a sauna and a large public bath. The location was very convenient given my schedule. However, upon check-in, I was informed that the women's public bath (including the sauna) was under renovation and unavailable. I really wanted to take a bath, so I would have appreciated being notified in advance. That way, I could have gone to another bathing facility before coming. The apology was just one face mask. I would have preferred a cashback or a more thorough explanation. The breakfast had a decent variety and was tasty, but it was still a bit disappointing."

This is one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever stayed in! The facilities are excellent, and my trip to Kagoshima was made even better by booking the Shiroyama Hotel. Everything went smoothly from check-in, and the 4th-floor observation deck offers the best view of Sakurajima in all of Kagoshima.

Sheraton Kagoshima | Perfect Solo Trip Experience, Watching Sakurajima + Onsen Healing 🌋♨️ 【Basic Information】 🏨 Hotel: Sheraton Kagoshima 📅 Check-in Date: June 19th - June 22nd 👤 Travel Type: Solo Traveler 【Overall Rating】⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I came to Kagoshima for a solo vacation and chose the Sheraton after seeing it recommended by a travel blogger. To my surprise, it exceeded all my expectations! Hygiene, environment, service, and facilities all scored a perfect 5, making it the highlight of my trip. 【About the Room and View】 As described during booking, I stayed in a room with club lounge access. The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed – a huge floor-to-ceiling window directly overlooked Sakurajima volcano! Whether it was watching the volcano faintly appear through the morning mist or admiring the city lights come alive in the evening, this view was absolutely breathtaking. The room's interior design was modern and simple with excellent natural light. Staying in such a spacious environment by myself instantly lifted my spirits. 【About Facilities and Service】 As someone meticulous about details, the hotel's cleanliness put me completely at ease; every corner was spotless. - Gym: The equipment was new and comprehensive. Running on the treadmill while enjoying the view outside made the workout feel effortless. - Club Lounge: This was a major highlight of my stay! The environment was elegant and quiet, offering not only comfortable sofa areas for relaxing and reading but also dedicated dining areas and a bar. For a solo traveler like me, it provided both a sense of social security and the freedom of personal space. 【Highly Recommended: Natural Onsen and Foot Bath 🛁】 This was definitely the biggest bonus of my stay! The hotel has its own natural onsen, which is a savior for travelers who have been walking all day. The most thoughtful touch was the outdoor foot bath. If you're traveling alone like me or are a bit shy about public large onsens, this foot bath is absolutely perfect! Sitting on the wooden steps, soaking your feet in the warm spring water, and looking up at the indoor garden scenery – the feeling of relaxation is truly indescribable. You get to enjoy the healing benefits of the onsen without any awkwardness, offering maximum privacy! 【In Conclusion】 If you're traveling to Kagoshima alone or looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, the Sheraton Kagoshima is definitely worth a second visit. Here, it's not just about spending a night; it's about indulging in the luxurious time of gazing at the volcano and unwinding in a foot bath. #KagoshimaTravel #JapanHotelRecommendations #Sheraton #SoloTravel #SakurajimaVolcano #NaturalOnsen #FootBath #TripReview #HotelLover

The antique interior and tranquil atmosphere create a comfortable environment. The room is spacious and nice. Since it was winter, it was a bit chilly, so I turned on the heater; it was a little dry, which was a bit of a shame, but other than that, I was satisfied with everything. Dinner was delicious, and I especially loved the breakfast. It had been a while since I had such a hearty breakfast. The pick-up and drop-off service to Ibusuki Station made getting around very convenient. I highly recommend this accommodation if you are visiting Ibusuki.

I stayed at the first night of my Kagoshima trip and used it for day trip hot springs and dinner on the last day. Despite the reasonable price of less than 5,000 yen for a night stay, the hot springs are flowing from the source where you can enjoy looking at the river. The day trip hot spring is available for 300 yen, and shampoo, conditioner, body soap is also complete. In addition, I was unintentionally relaxed in the healing space where dogs and cats welcomed me. You can enjoy the dishes outdoors like a river floor, and of course you can enjoy the river from the room. Arrived by late flight at night and check-in was around 22:00, but the envy of the red lantern that suddenly appeared in the mountains was like a Yuya of ”Spirited Away”, and it was exciting before entering the building. The building has a modern atmosphere, and you can see the river from your room, and you can spend a luxurious time enjoying sake while watching the river flow.
