Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station

Room is clean, not huge but sufficient size. Great service, as I forgot my toiletry bag in Tokyo before arriving in Fukuoka and the front desk lady was able to call the Tokyo hotel and have them locate and secure the bag for me to pick up later. Offers welcome soba (21:00-23:00) and welcome drink (15:00-23:00). Also has a a Photo Booth to take welcome photos (picture quality is not great so more for fun) and a Gacha machine to dispense welcome gifts for kids. The lobby area has a huge long desk with many seatings, as well as a nice little library.

My husband and I enjoyed our final stay at this hotel to wrap up our Kyushu long vacation. The front desk staff ** gave me a bad impression of this trip. We were the only couples at the check in counter during that time (around 12:30pm). She saw us but keep working on the computer. We just waited until she completed her work. After a while, she said ”check in time at 3pm”, I was well noted about this hotel policy but I just want to store our luggage so we can go out. She asked for our passport, inputted some data into the computer and she returned the passport to us without saying a single word. After a while, she headed up and showed her annoyed face and said again ”check in at 3pm” then she point to the storage room on the left . Her attitude was the worst I have ever seen across Japan. This was a really great hotel but I would suggest the hotel group should well-train their staff with a more professional manner. She was working at the front desk which meant she was representing the hotel to give the first impression to the traveler. SHE DID A BAD JOB.

Very nice hotel conveniently located near JR station. Situated inside a big shopping mall with lots of stores and great foods. Walking distance to river front with nice views and lots of activities at night. Overall great experience. Just stayed too short. Should have stayed longer.

Hotel Front Inn Fukuoka Airport

I stayed in a hurry because the plane to Okinawa was canceled. The front desk seemed to be a foreign female staff member, but I was asked to explain carefully and check in smoothly. The tragic Japanese was also cute. It was only made in 2020 and has the latest equipment. Despite the single, there is a wall hanging 4K smart TV, and if you have a Netflix account, you can watch movies as much as you want. It may be because there were few guests, but the line speed was stable, and the image quality was high and I could see it without delay. In addition, indoor lighting and TV operation with the built-in tablet were also possible. I didn't use it much. 1F had a large communal bath and a laundry room, so I didn't bring a change of clothes, so I was saved. Due to the influence of Corona, breakfast was not a buffet but a type that I chose in advance at check-in, and I chose curry. It was a little spicy, my eyes were squeezed and it was a refreshing morning. By the way, I'm full with salad and soup. The only disappointment is that it is almost essential to move by taxi because it is on the east side of the airport and across the parking lot and the main street. It's not impossible to walk, but you can't reach it unless you make a very detour compared to a car. It was a very good hotel except for the location. I want to use it again in case of emergency.

I was attracted to the good location of 2 stations by subway airport line from Fukuoka Airport to Hakata Station and about 2 minutes walk from subway Hakata Station to the hotel. This time, I wanted to go to Shimonoseki, Ogura and Yamaguchi Prefecture based in Hakata, so I had a comfortable stay. The amenities were a style that took you from the corner in front of the front desk to the room for as much as you needed, and I felt that it was a good attempt from the viewpoint of environmental protection. I want to stay again. Thank you.

I’m a frequent guest at Millennial Kyoto and couldn’t be more delighted to hear that they open a new hotel in Fukuoka. Millennials Fukuoka is in a strategic location close to restaurants, mini marts, and lots of stuff going on in the Area. It’s sparkling clean and well run. Their staff, especially Faith are extremely helpful. I had a great stay and would love to return when I’m back in Fukuoka.
Plaza Hotel Tenjin
4/5340 Reviews
We usually stay in a newer boutique hotel in Tenjin. We had to stay in Plaza Hotel Tenjin this time since our fave hotel was fully booked. We booked two rooms - a semi double non smoking room and a double smoking room (they ran out of non smoking double rooms). Location is good. The hotel is near Akasaka station and Tenjin station. A lot of good shops and restos in the area like Ippudo, Lamp Light Books Cafe, Little Napoli, Billy's, Apple, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Levi's, Muji, and dozens more pre-owned clothing stores. Hotel is kinda dated. As expected, the rooms are small but the bathrooms are even smaller. The bed mattresses, comforters, curtains, and carpets have seen better days. But the amenities like yukata, coffee, tea, and tons of toiletries are excellent. You can expect your room to be (limited) cleaned, i.e. replace towels, bring out the trash, and vacuum the carpet, daily between 10am and 11am only. Wish that they also replace and fix the beddings daily for long-stay guests like us. Check-in and check-out procedure was a breeze. Front desk personnel (specially the Japanese lady staffers) were very helpful specially when we needed two taxis to go to the airport during rush hour. Just like other small hotels, it has a common room with an ice machine, vending machines (for drinks), microwave oven, and coin laundry. All these were very useful and convenient to have.
