Glenroyal Hotel

Fabulous hotel, will 100% be returning. It is amazing for children, so much to do. They have kids club, an amazing family pool, and a playground nearby. They provided a teepee tent for the kids and this was an awesome surprise. Also close to Emerald Park. Staff are excellent so helpful and know what they are doing. Room was spotless, service was great and food was delicious. Also there is the option to eat at the lovely cafe they have at the hotel. Both the cafe and restaurant serve gorgeous food. Highly recommend this hotel, outstanding experience. Thank you.
Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel
4.4/549 Reviews
I've been to luxurious hotels, but this is another level. If you want to treat yourself, look no further - this right here is a fantastic experience. Hotel is in a historic building that was made into a hotel. Every day there is a guide that explains the history of the place, purpose of each room, etc, which is quite interesting. With the rooms that are in the historical building, the breakfast is served in the ”golden room” which is ”prettiest room in all the Ireland”. The view from my room was stunning - like from a fantasy movie (pictures uploaded, no filters used, made with motorola edge 40). Even the keycards to open the rooms are amazing - made of wood! Everybody in the hotel was super friendly. In the nearby town, Maynooth, you can visit St. Patrick's College which looks amazing.

The hotel experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The reception girls both were polite and very helpful. The bar staff again very helpful couldn’t do enough for you . At breakfast Catherine was absolutely amazing, very efficient so approachable she was an asset to your hotel. We will be returning again .
Killashee Hotel
4.2/5102 Reviews
I recently stayed at Killashee Hotel following an event which recognised the work of charities, bringing my laptop along with me. During my stay, I plugged my charger into the bedside locker. After checking out on Sunday morning, I realised on Monday that I had accidentally left my charger behind. Upon contacting reception, I was informed that the charger was not found in my room. I have no doubt in my mind at all as to where I left this charger and it would have been impossible for cleaners to miss it. Despite this, the hotel refused to acknowledge the possibility of it being in the room and instead offered me a used replacement from their lost and found. The replacement was clearly burnt out and unusable, as confirmed by the image they sent me. This response was inadequate, and I had no choice but to purchase a new charger at a cost of €100. I am deeply frustrated by the hotel's handling of this situation and its lack of accountability, and having read previous reviews of items going missing I am surprised that there aren't improved Lost and Found practices in place. If you are staying in this hotel, do not leave valuables behind. The staff in general were pleasant, but this experience has left a sour taste. I would have expected much better outcome from a 4 star hotel.
The K Club
4.5/565 Reviews
We returned to the K Club after about a dozen years since we loved it last time. We weren’t disappointed. A lovely hotel and great golf complex with the two course. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the famous Palmer North course. Our river view room was terrific…it was in the new part of the hotel, added since we were last here. Nice large bathroom with both nice tub and walk-in shower; double sinks. Great bathroom; nice view of the river. The public rooms are beautiful with the long elegant hallways. Beautiful landscapes. The Barton was excellent. Three course meal, but one is the amuse bouche, so really just two courses. Excellent foie gras and Roscommon lamb. This is a very special place for wine aficiandos due to its Barton family heritage. The Bartons, of Bordeaux fame, owned this estate for five generations, selling only in 1949 to concentrate on their Bordeaux businesses in the aftermath of WWII. What’s great is that the hotel has kept its connections with the Barton family, including some very special Barton wines available at the hotel bar and restaurants, which are collaborated on with Lisa, the Assistant Manager and Sommelier, who is fully involved in the history of that affinity, and travels to the winery in Bordeaux frequently to assist in the blending of the wines for the K Club. She gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was a great experience. The Staff is wonderful to a person. There are 6 km of walking trails which run by the river and up into the South golf course. There is also a history of here with Ian Fleming who wrote several of his books while staying here. The South restaurant was very good with a nice range of more casual options like excellent chicken wings and spare ribs. The Palmer restaurant was also a nice choice for lunch with its excellent soup and more chicken wings. The Blue Martini Bar is a really nice classic bar with friendly bartenders who know their stuff, like John. The included breakfast was excellent as well with nice buffet options, or a nice range of specially prepared dishes like full or part Irish Breakfast, porridge, eggs Benedicyt, scrambled eggs with excellent Irish smoked salmon. We were there for four nights which we thought was the perfect time to spend there. Only about an hour from Dublin. Not much to do outside the resort, but good things to do within it! If you love golf, you will expecially love it! Highlly recommend!
Osprey Hotel

Stayed here for 1 night. The room was fab and spacious and had a balcony. The only negative was the water fountain outside. The noise of it all evening and early morning wasnt too pleasant. We had a fab back, shoulder and neck massage and spent 30 mins in the sauna, steam room before it. I wouldnt recommend going here for the spa alone, would of liked an outdoor plunge pool. We had a main course as part of our package and it was lovely. We were notified early evening that our bedroom door was wide open and a member of staff closed it. When we went back up to our room at 9.20pm we found the door open again which was very strange. We notified staff who checked out the room . We were given no explanation as to what may have happened. We are still waiting on a phone call from the Manager, nearly a week later. Breakfast was lovely and fresh.

Beautiful location and castle, with great service and food.
Court Yard Hotel

I was the organiser of a golf event in September 2024 and part of a group of twenty golfers who stayed at the hotel. From the first contact with the hotel about a year prior to the event the level of service, professionalism, communication and advice was superb. A complete turnkey package - rooms, golf, dining, transport - was put together for me by the team at the hotel at a very competitive price. Initially I dealt with Lenka and subsequently with Sibella. They were both brilliant to deal with and so competent in all their dealings with me. My group loved the ambiance of the hotel - spacious courtyard, lovely bar areas, restaurant and rooms. The staff everywhere throughout were attentive, courteous and well trained. We dined on two evenings in the hotel and were very satisfied with the choice and quality of the food presented. As an aside, the female bartender in the bar makes the most wonderful cadillac margaritas! The hotel is in a delightful location adjacent to the Liffey in Leixlip and a lovely get-away within twenty minutes or so from Dublin. I would highly recommend this hotel.
