Have stayed before and will stay again. Very nice, some rooms can be a little dated but is a personal preference matter, we like them. Staff all very friendly, and that really us all staff from top to bottom, welcoming and helpful.
Hotel was amazing and the Spa area was unreal .
Had a dinner reservation and the Service was really bad. Kept having to ask for things . Items i ordered never came and servers avoided eye contact so we ended up having to wait ages to be served .
Food was like warm at best.
Very expensive and the costumer service was simply not there.

The overall experience of this hotel is very good, and the process from check-in to check-out is very smooth. The service staff is friendly and polite, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete and well-maintained. The location is convenient and the surrounding living functions are also very convenient. The overall accommodation environment is comfortable and relaxing. It is a pleasant accommodation experience and I will visit again if I have the chance in the future.
The swimming pool appeared quite big, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Our room was fairly roomy for two people, but with our group of four, it felt a bit crowded. It's worth noting that if you have heavy luggage, you might want to avoid booking a room on the top floor (second floor), as there are no lifts available in this hotel. The bathroom provided only shampoo and body wash, so you might need to bring or purchase your own conditioner.
The breakfast exceeded my expectations. Despite anticipating a traditional British offering, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available, including English hot meals, a salad bar, a selection of cereals (there was Alpen!), milk alternatives (I particularly enjoyed the Oatly), and two coffee machines.
Their breakfast was so impressive that I will definitely consider staying at this hotel again when I visit Colchester next time.
Lovely hotel in nice grounds. Friendly reception. Decent room (we stayed in the Sartorial rooms) which was spacious. Good breakfast in the main restaurant although continental was a bit limited. Ate in the evenings at the cafe rather than main restaurant and food was good. Also lovely staff.

LLuigi 2023When you arrive the hotel looks very good. The room are a little bit old and for this reason doesn’t appear clean (at least is clean). For example in the bathroom there is a lot of limescale. Great position if you arrive late at Stansted airport or if you leave early in the morning. The breakfast is good, not the best one that I seen, but I liked it: complete and everything clean at the breakfast room. It’s a good solution for staying one night without any particular expectation.

AAnders travellerA good, clean hotel near the airport. There's a shuttle bus, that cost 4gbp each way. But very convenient. It's nice there's breakfast included, makes a big difference. There's almost everything at breakfast... except Cheese...Rooms are big, clean and with coffee/ tea and boiler. There's a bar as well, I didn't try that. There is shopping nearby 50 meters, where there is a smaller grocery shopping store and a macdonalds.

Jjc_uaWe checked in around midnight, and when we requested ice, we were told it wasn’t available because the bar was closed. In other hotels, this has never been an issue, even when asking for ice at 3 AM. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable—lumpy and of terrible quality. The ventilation was noisy, making it hard to sleep.
Another downside is the paid airport transfer. The hotel is not within walking distance, and the shuttle costs £4 per person one way for a 6-minute ride. That means for two people, a round trip adds £16 to the cost of your stay. Decide for yourself whether that’s a fair price. It’s not exactly a typical location for an “airport hotel,” yet they still charge for the transfer.
Overall, it’s fine for a quick overnight stay before a flight, but nothing more.
GGuest UserQuiet and cosy place. Rooms very traditional. Breakfast is acceptable. Jogging machine at the gym strangely facing a opaque wall. Not really a convenient place, unless you are driving.
The first night we checked in, the receptionist said there was no double bed (deluxe king room we booked and prepaid) and gave us twin beds. Then the solo traveller who checked in after us got a deluxe king room. Apalling.
All other staff are friendly and cheerful.
EEdithIt was a beautiful experience will visit again, excellent staff service. I rang the hotel to request a cot for my baby, they provided one b4 we even arrived room was nice and clean just like the image on trip.com.

JJaswantSecond stay at this hotel & like the last stay it did not disapont, the only this that could do with improving in the hotels wifi, it was very weak as was my phones network this is probably due to the hotels location being on the sea front. Apart from the nice stay, o would recommend..
VVegan in ChinaHotel is very close to the airport, but note that the hotel shuttle is 4 pounds (what happened to the days of this service being free? 😭).
Staff was a bit of a mixed bag. I was checked in by a rather miserable person, but check-out was polite and friendly.
My room said a king bed, but I don't know if UK bed sizes are different, but it was more like a double. Room appeared clean, but I did find some hairs in the sheets that didn't belong to me and one of my pillows looked a little suspect.
Fine stay for just a night when you need to be near the airport. Vegan options available for meals, although I didn't eat at the hotel.
