The hotel is wonderful, the staff were very polite and kind to us at all times. The cleanliness of the rooms was unbeatable. And attention was provided at all times. I recommend it 100%!! Very close to the tram and bus connections, although it's about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town.

The fire alarm in the 6th floor corridor went off twice during the night, at around 3am and 6am, the first time ringing for over 15 minutes and the second time for a little less, without being able to contact reception and when after several attempts they picked up the phone, they answered “false alarm, it’s coming, it’s coming” and continued ringing for another 5 minutes. What a night! The next day, when we left the hotel, not one apology.

A decent hotel for a one night stay on the way to another place. The facilities are decent, but it is obvious that it has been used for a long time or is very old. It is not like other B&Bs. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Other things need some maintenance, such as the bathroom door, the screen, etc.

Very clean and easy to reach from Bilbao airport. It can be reached in 20 minutes by walking, 3 minutes by taxi or Uber. There is also a shuttle option. Also, the breakfasts are local and delicious.

It's a 15 minute walk from Kikutetsu station and bus terminal, and a 5 minute walk from the city center private railway station. There is a large supermarket nearby. There are many restaurants nearby, including one that serves Basque-style Japanese cuisine (the owner chef is Japanese). The hotel is stylish and clean. The only drawback is that the elevator doesn't come easily. Internet speed is ok.

✴︎Pros: - cozy and natural woody taste room which is definitely my type - water is free of charge if you ask the front - sunshade was smart enough to be controlled by buttons ✴︎Cons: - no place to get foods besides the restaurant located inside the hotel - ordering by an item is not available for at least the lunch time we went, had to order 2 items for each person including dessert - location is a bit far from the busy area of San Sebastian however taking taxi only took 12-13euros even at night, and taking a bus is easy on the way since going to the bus stop is really within a minute. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are easygoing to get around taking a taxi and a bus and rather sleep in a quiet area.

The only thing I don't like is the design of the toilet. The bathroom door is half open, and I am worried about water overflowing. In addition, the toilet glass door cannot be opened, which will make it very hot after taking a shower. The hair dryer is placed in the drawer and cannot be moved, which is a bit inconvenient to use. But the devil was hidden in the details. 1) Upon checking in, I discovered hair from a trimmed beard in the shampoo holder on the sink (while I was yelling and running around in circles my partner had just rinsed it off). 2) Centuries of dust on the shelf and TV. 3) The clock on March 01, 2024 is still set one hour ahead. at 8:40pm I get dressed and run out to a meeting by 9pm. which as it later turns out will be in 1.20 minutes. Answer: the technician is no longer at the hotel today, we will let him know. March 04, 2024, at the time of our departure, the clock is still showing the wrong time. And I thought: ”ok we can live with that”. BUT 3) The room is hot, it's really hot. We Germans and so used to sleep at +17 degrees at night (save money energy and its healthy))). Also my the partner does not tolerate the heat at all (Also if you have age changes or something else... It could be horror). The answer from the hotel: ”It's winter, the air conditioner only works for heating”. This we find out after we have been ”cooling” for a day and a half (but the hotel description has 138 rooms with air conditioning!?). 4) We get a fan to cool down. 5) I discover that the sheets are 50 percent and the pillows are 52 percent synthetic. ((at this point, I realize why they are so sweaty and sweltering to sleep in. I know its subjective). This hotel recived 3 out of 5 in my rating. P.S.: The glasses were not washed perfectly (it's just gazpacho, not oil paint and black tea) The toilet paper holder is positioned so that you hit it with your butt every time you sit down on the toilet, and when you sit down it rests on your chest

We were sooooo Pleased to find this Stunning Boutique Hotel, From start to finish, a Welcome drink, An upgrade in rooms for the party, Brilliant maps & staff showed us lots of options & details & local knowledge. Truly superb experience. Nothing was too much trouble & all the staff were so eager to help & assist & make our Abba Experience truly memorable. I thought the sauna was included in our stay that’s why I booked the hotel. When I’ve mentioned it to the staff about not having an additional cost to it when you book online, they told me is part of the spa . This is very confusing as if it was part of the spa why mentioning it and not including it in the spa section . Spa and sauna are not the same and if it’s a cost to it , that should be mentioned. Anything else was amazing . Also they don’t have a separate cost to the sauna only ! I just wanted to use the gym and the sauna , no spa though! There was no possibility to book the sauna without the spa. It’s like 20 euros per acces not per day which I thought it’s a rip off especially when you are already booked with the hotel and you’ve paid for your room! Again staff showed no flexibility , it was either pay for something you won’t use or you don’t get it! Ended up not booking it because I did not want to use the spa , and I thought it was a lot of money (20 euros) to pay for 15 min use of sauna only.

We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Carlton. It’s my third time to stay there. The location is fantastic. The whole experience is special. The rooms are very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room are very much appreciated. The little bar is nice for a nightcap after a night out. I’ll certainly stay again

When booking, I specially found a relatively new hotel. The subway is downstairs. The male compatriots are three subway stops to the St. Mame Stadium to watch the ball. Across the road is the British Palace Shopping Mall. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the old town. It is very convenient. The hotel does not have a parking lot, and the public parking lot takes more than 10 minutes. There are many restaurants and cafes around, and it is super convenient to eat.

The overall decoration of the hotel is simple, warm and classy. It has been renovated in recent years. However, the overall facilities of the building are old. , it is still inevitable that you can smell something similar to kerosene in the bathroom, it should be the hot water system. The restaurant downstairs is very delicious, stylish and slightly less cost-effective. The rooftop view is beautiful and the bartending is great.
