Hotel location is excellent, right next to Ximen MRT exit 4 or 5 (both exits can access the hotel). It is good for a short stay for few days at Taipei if you are looking for good location hotel at Ximending area. The downside of the hotel is tiny room size when you have 2 suitcases opened inside room, you will barely have space to walk around. Wifi reception is weak inside hotel room and the hotel could not help with storing luggages overnight, which is not convenient for those who plan to travel to another city for a short trip then return to the same hotel for continuing the journey.

Located in Taipei Main Station, transportation was very good. The Kaohsiung round-trip high-speed railway reached its destination within 100 minutes. There are frequent buses to Shinbei Urai Onsen area, and Shinbeitou Onsen area easily approached without walking much by using MRT and LRT. Of course, many night markets could also use MRT. It was also good to use. The hotel was frustrated by the choice of windows, but the caustic rain was good except for the weekend. Tables, coffee pots, microwave ovens, coin washing machines, and water purifiers were used in the public lounge (?), so there was no inconvenience. But,The only reason is that the hygiene is not good. I put a message on the door asking me to clean it. When I came back to the room, I exchanged only towels, the floor was dirty just like when I left the room in the morning, and the blanket was folded and messed up. Another surprising fact is that there were more than a dozen leeches on the shower floor. If you only care about hygiene, it's a perfect and competitive hotel. All employees, including managers, should try. 타이베이 메인스테이션에 위치하고있어 교통편이 매우 좋았다. 카오슝 왕복 고속철도는 100분 이내에 목적지에 도착했다. 신베이 우라이 온천지구로 가는 버스도 자주있고, 신베이터우 온천지구도 쉽게 MRT,LRT를 이용하여 많이 걷지않고 접근했다. 물론 많은 야시장도 MRT를 이용하면 되었다. 일일투어도 그곳에서 출발하여 관광버스를 이용하기도 좋았다. 호텔은 창문을 선택하여 답답 했으나, 주말 빼고는 가성비가 좋았다. 공용 라운지(?)에 테이블과 커피포트, 전자렌지, 코인세탁기, 정수기를 사용하여 불편함은 없었다. 그러나, 단 한가지, 위생상태가 좋지않았다. 방이 너무 많아서 그런지 객실을 청소 해 달라고 요구했는데, 방에 돌아왔을 때와 아침에 방에서 나갈때와 똑같은 상태로서, 수건 만 교체하고 바닥이 더러웠고 이불도 뭉게진 체 그대로였다. 또하나 놀라운것은 샤워실바닥에 거머리 같은 벌레가 열마리 이상 꾸물거렸다. 위생상태만 신경 쓰면 완벽하고 경쟁력있는 호텔이다. 메니저를 비롯하여 전 직원이 노력 해 주기 바란다.

The room is new and decent room size. Walking distance to Shilin Market. The hotel location is well connected to the downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel as a based to National Palace Museum too

A very new hotel, still has the smell of one! The room was very well designed. The details, materials and textures are five stars. Reminded me of a room in Waldorf Astoria. I had a very large room which had a very nice open view. One thing about cleanliness though. While it was almost spotless, I did spot a couple of strands of long hair. I think the hotel can step up on that. The infinity pool area faces the new lalaport mall and has a glimpse of sunset. I didn’t get to try the breakfast. The location is indeed a bit off but it’s right next to the new massive Lalaport mall which has an huge range of Japanese brands. At slightly over US$100 per night, it was amazing value for the room I got. Highly recommended.

Very pleased of my stay. Hotel is located in the center of all the visiting points, 2 minutes to Kouhua street, 2 minutes to Shenonon Street. Retired fried squid. Yum yum.

Location is very prime. Close to convenient store and walking distance to Taipei main station. Room is big and spacious. Pretty clean. No tooth brush or paste but you can request. Hotel is opposite a famous pepper bun store. No wardrobe but there's a wall hanger for you to hang your clothes. Overall, I think it's a good hotel to me.

Location walk to Xiemending market about 5 minutes but if walk to the metro that needs about 10-15 minutes or more as if walk inside the market that you know crowd of people but happy with this. The 1st night just a friend to stay that only booked a single room, rooms lighting dark, a bit old facilities and the wash basin can't drain water and clogged, the 2nd-4th nights we booked triple room and same wash basin not easy to drain water and clogged sometime. Dark light that is the hotels industrial style, can accepted. If has windows thats much better. Only taken the Single rooms photo...

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with all the basic amenities provided, including a good-sized bed, a functional desk, and fast Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help, which made check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The location is very convenient—close to restaurants, shops, and public transport, making it easy to explore the area.

The Grand Hotel itself is an icon of Taipei. It is not located in the most convenient location but the hotel offers free shuttle services to nearby MRT stations. The room itself is of very decent size. The employees were helpful and polite. Since my room is located in a nearby building, the employees sent me and my bags with a motor vehicle. It was a delight to stay in this hotel.

One of our favorite hotels in Taipei. Service and amenities were perfect. On top of all that, they have a great sauna area and a very very decent gym. One of the most elaborate setup that i have seen, with numerous machines. Definitely a recommend. We got a nice lucky little surprise upgrade and that was amazing.

value for money good location, good size of room friendly staff , breakfast was average . It would be good if hotel can install a more powerful hair dryer.

Very good location but hotel is a bit old and dated. Hotel is welcoming to all guests, providing a comfortable and pleasant experience. However, it appears that the service for suite guests may not feel significantly elevated compared to other accommodations, despite the exclusive nature of the suites. The breakfast offering, while diverse, falls short of expectations when compared to the standards typically seen at other five-star properties.

Very nice and clean. It’s a newly built hotel and the facilites are clean. The staff are friendly and can speak English well. Extended my stay at the hotel and loved it.

Hotel room are clean and comfortable, I book a single room, room beside the elevator, some noise, but acceptable. Water pressure is good. Will come back again next time.

Stay for three nights,too early to check in when we got there, got free snacks and drinks at the poolside bar while we waited. Room is huge and staffs are friendly and helpful. Closed to light rail station and most attractions.

I booked it bc of the kids amenities. I had a nice river view in the room n bathroom. Very comfy and my kids enjoyed playing. Location is also great

It was first bad hotel experience booking thru trip.com. Traveled with 2 kids under 13. We drove to Kaoshiung from Taipei. Arrived late night. There's no parking lot provided but have to park somewhere 3 walk at a opposite the hotel. Paid TWD100 per entry on the following day before leaving. The hotel looks good at the public areas, except our room. We were given a room at 6th floor. It looks like under construction and no other guests were staying on that floor. If we were not 4 together, I dare not stay alone. What was disappointed was the room is very very old. Everything old style. The carpet is dirty. We have to wear the paper slippers (the worst hotel slipperstgat I had ever seen) to walk on the carpet. We tried to push a bed to the side to the wall, but the floor under the bed is very dirty, even found a plastic slipper (not a pair). We guessed it was left by the previous guest and the room was not totally cleaned. We quickly put the bed back. The shower pipe also not very well working and weak power water. Quite disappointed. 2 Good points: 1. The hotel is near to the night market: It's just 3~5 mins walk from hotel. 2. The breakfast was quite good.

Howard Plaza Hotel exudes an aura of cleanliness and tranquility. Every corner is immaculate, reflecting their commitment to hygiene. The location is good very near to kaoshiung station and Liuhe night market. There is also a washing machine at lev 8 free to use for guests Free ice cream, tea, and coffee at lounge for guests as well.

This hotel is very good, convenient to travel, good service staff, quiet hotel, can sleep and rest, there is a lobby for eating, there is hot water and drinking water can be refilled, tea, coffee is available, there is a steam iron. Value for money and very convenient, walk out of MRT Sandou shopping district station exit 1, not far, very convenient to walk, there is also a bus stop nearby, very convenient to travel, walk a little bit more, you will see Light rail station: Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, can use the service to go to Pier 2 art center, and get off at Hamasen station to cross to Cijin Island. Nearby, there are lots of restaurants, 7-11 and Family Mart.

I came here for the Sanrio themed rooms. The lady at VIP check-in was ready to transport my kid into the word of hello Kitty with different trivia and gifts. The building might be a bit dated, but everything is clean and top notch.  great for family and business travel 

I recently stayed at a hotel in Taichung that perfectly bridges the old and new parts of the city. Its location is a significant advantage, as most tourist spots are just a 15-minute drive away, making it easy to explore the area's rich culture and attractions. The room I booked was surprisingly spacious for the price, featuring a comfortable layout and a nice bathtub, which added a touch of luxury to my stay. However, I did find one aspect a bit lacking: while I appreciate the hotel's commitment to minimizing disposable products, the absence of soap in the bathroom felt excessive. A simple bar of soap would have made the experience more comfortable. Overall, I would definitely consider revisiting this hotel. The combination of a convenient location and reasonable pricing makes it a solid choice for anyone looking to explore Taichung.ecial at the same time

This is a good new hotel located at new residential area. Hence the surrounding is nice, looks new and quiet. Albeit quite far from Taichung city centre, the hotel is accesible via TRA (Chenggong Station) after 8 minutes walking. HSR station is only one stop away. There is only one convenience store nearby (Family mart). Hotel staff can communicate in English quite well. Breakfast is good, room is very clean and nice. However there is slight discomfort as the shower room floor is sometimes flooded when in used. Overall would recommend a stay here.

This hotel fits budget travellers. The room I got was clean and has a good view of Taichung Station. This hotel is highly recommended for ASEAN travellers as ASEAN restaurants particularly Indonesian are plentiful. Tourist attractions like Miyahara, Taichung Park and 2nd Market are also walking distance. Many buses that roam the city also passes by Gancheng Bus Station which is just across the street. I would definitely book again if I’m visitong Taichung. Value for money.

LIKED: 1. Budget friendly 2. Laundry room availability DISLIKED: 1. Size of the room 2. Smell of the room (smelled damp, probably from the carpeted floor) 3. No bidet in the bathroom 4. Shampoo and shower gel were in the form of small sachets, barely enough for 1 person to use 5. Electrical sockets were behind the beds, you'd need to move the beds to use them. Otherwise there's only 1 socket next to the table and another one in the bathroom next to the toilet 6. Breakfast selection was very limited and in a basement that is relatively dark. There's no hot water dispenser there so if you want to drink tea, you either have to prepare hot water in your room or from the dispenser on the first floor.

Great location, the neibhourhood park is a must go place, and many conviences stores and supermarkets. The MRT is only 5 minute walk, can lead to Costco, and Center Centre. Still the best for me and my sons are the leisure and game room, with such a wonder video game machine called ”Supreme X Galloping”, we played the ”Final Fight” in the final night with so much more fun!

Love the hotel amenities such as complimentary supper, foot bath etc. Appreciate the close proximity to Feng Chia night market. Its about 8 mins walk. Overall looks very new. Room is well designed. Parking is behind the hotel, to enter a small alley. Reception managed to place us side by side even though there is no connecting room.

The location is convenient. There are many restaurants and hand-shaken drinks nearby. You can reserve parking spaces for a fee. The lounge provides snacks, candies, coffee drinks, and comfortable space. Books are also provided. The overall decoration is novel. The TV in the room is large. The price is also reasonable. I will book this accommodation again when I come to Taichung.

Good location, it's a vegetarian hotel they only serve vegetarian bfast. What I don't like is the noise of the KTV downstairs, it's really noisy and you can all hear it from your room especially the bass so make sure to read reviews before you book.

It was an amazing experience at the hotel. We were well received by the staff, all of them were so helpful and professional. The breakfast was amazing, even there were limited options, everything was delicious and enough. The rooms were tidy clean everyday and the amenities were great. The room space is very small, however all the service and facilities compensate it as they offer free hot beverages, a living room and a free of charge laundry :). Definitely I recommend this hotel and will go back again.

Hotel is very clean. I took the triple room. Comes with a queen size bed n a single bed. Quite spacious. Great location. Near to Feng Chia night market.
