The hotel is slightly away from yilan, but the charming and quiet neighbourhood more than makes up for that. They are many beautiful parks and activities located around (dolphin watching, farms, hot springs). The hotel also provides night snacks for guests to enjoy and mingle. We also spied at the information counter vouchers to the nearby milksha!!
Additionally, the hotel is v family friendly, as there is a games room (arcade games like basketball and air hockey, ps4 and switch!) and a library for guests to enjoy. There are also DIY acitvities for guests to sign up for. Lastly, there is a hot bath in every room for all guests to enjoy. Slippers are also provided. Very happy with our stay here!!

From arrival to departure, the service was excellent. The staff and crew displayed warm hospitality and were attentive to guests' needs. Like many hotels in Taiwan, in-room utilities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so you’ll need to bring your own.
Sunshine Liv partners with a scooter rental shop that delivers and collects the scooter directly at the homestay. The rental price is reasonable at TWD 400 for 24 hours, and there’s no requirement to return the scooter with a full tank. The homestay is also conveniently located, with the nearest night market just a 10-minute scooter ride away.
We were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade with stunning ocean views! The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The TV offers a wide selection of channels across various genres, catering to different preferences. Additionally, the homestay serves a delightful home-cooked style breakfast.
Overall, we highly recommend visiting Kenting, and Sunshine Liv is an excellent choice for accommodation!
P.S. Complimentary parking is available for in-house guests, but the parking space is quite narrow, so drivers should proceed with caution.
Room: A very satisfying two-night stay. We opted for a Japanese-style room, which was incredibly spacious.
Transportation: Accessing Wulai is primarily via a single bus route. From MRT Xindian Station, it takes about half an hour to reach the stop near the hotel, so it's not hard to get to.
Food: The hotel provides breakfast, which isn't a buffet but is substantial and filling. Dinner can be a bit more inconvenient. Even walking 20 minutes down to Wulai Old Street, most shops close around 7 or 8 PM. If you plan to travel out for dinner, make sure to check the bus schedule carefully before heading back.
Summary: Wulai is inherently a suburban/rural area, so it's definitely not as convenient as staying in the city. However, what you gain in return are spacious surroundings, fresh air, and hot springs. If your schedule allows, I recommend staying for two nights to fully relax and avoid feeling rushed.

The service, food, hot spring tub were excellent and the staff was very attentive. The only thing I wish could have been better is the outlets to plug my phone into. We couldn’t find one in the bedroom/sleep quarters (Japanese tatami). So make sure to bring a portable charger if you don’t want to be away from your phone. Another advice would be more of a treat if they provided a face mask and sleep wear. The reason I’d suggest this is because another competitor hotel of theirs provided very considerate toiletries for the ladies and I think that was a HUGE plus for me considering we spent a lot of money for one night. Anyways, overall villa 32 is great if you just want to spend a few hours to relax.
Not far from the interchange
About 10 minutes walk to the alley with the whole family
Parking lot
The design of the homestay is beautiful. The first floor is the reception counter and restaurant.
Breakfast is Chinese porridge and toast
Not many choices but delicious
The campervan sparrow is small and complete
Bathroom and toilet are all available
Hot water soon.
Sound insulation is better than expected
Near the railway, you can clearly see the train passing by.
The sound of the train and the vibration are acceptable
The cookies are for Yilan's beef tongue cake
It was a special stay.
This place is very neat and brand new,, Clean and very nice view of mountains. The view was excellent!
We hailed a cab to get there from the airport, but the driver got lost even with GPS. Since Jiufen is located on
high mountains with very narrow roads, we felt a bit car sick from 1 hour and 30 minutes of the ride at the end.
We, however found out the hotel was actually located on very convenient and easy to get by next day!
The outside spa was not that clean, neither even was not warm enough to get in, the weather there was very cold!
The breakfast was worthy to have, because around there no place to eat unless you take a ride to get down to Old
Street place. We felt a bit chilly inside of the room, it could be the cold weather at this time ( in March?) One thing very odd was the length of the bed in the master room, even for me my feet could touched the end of the bed!( i am 5’2”.) Overall not bad, liked their clean and staff were very friendly. If you got bed knees, watch out those enormous steps every other corners!

Great Location, Friendly Staff, and Thoughtful Amenities – But Bathroom Needs Attention
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and found many things to love. The location is excellent—just a short walk to metro stations and bus stops, and about 15 minutes on foot to Ximending. It’s close enough to the action but still quiet at night, which was perfect for us. There are also several kid-friendly attractions nearby, which made getting around with our son easy and enjoyable.
The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which is a great convenience, although it would be even better if it started earlier and ran more frequently. One of the highlights of our stay was the free guided tour—our guide was amazing! She spoke fluent English, was very knowledgeable, and made the experience truly memorable.
Another charming feature is the old-school snack corner, which is complimentary for guests. It’s a nostalgic and fun touch. It’s not available 24/7 (unlike another hotel we stayed at in Taiwan), but since it’s part of the restaurant area, it follows their opening hours—which is understandable.
The staff deserve special praise—they were consistently helpful, proactive, and kind. From check-in to daily interactions, everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The rooms have recently been renovated and look fresh and modern. I particularly appreciated the switch from carpeted to hard floors—it feels much cleaner and more hygienic. The room itself is spacious, with ample closet space, and the layout is thoughtful, especially for families.
However, the bathroom design could use some improvement. While I liked the concept of having a bathtub in the shower area—great for kids to enjoy a bath without splashing everywhere—the tub design wasn't very family-friendly. It's a Japanese-style, tiled tub with sharp edges, and I got scratched multiple times. It doesn’t feel safe for young children. The wooden rack and bucket also had visible mold, and mold was beginning to appear around the tub edges as well. This was disappointing, especially since my son has sensitive skin and developed a rash after using the tub.
Despite the bathroom concerns, we still had a great overall experience. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location, friendly staff, thoughtful services, and family-friendly features—just be cautious about the tub if you're traveling with young children or anyone with sensitive skin.

The location is very central and easy accessible to large shopping malls and 赤峰街,however I need to emphasize the lack of training for front desk staff.
Even though my room was a refurbished one ( I believe) the whole aircon system is still outdated and the worst thing is that it stopped working in the middle of the night ( for 1-2 hours).
The walls and windows are paper thin, thus you can hear your neighbors v clearly, so I had a couple fighting on the one side and another couple watching TV and laughing on the other side, all of this around midnight.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location wasn't a major concern for us as we primarily relied on taxis. The view from our high-floor room was fantastic, and the upstairs restaurant served delicious food. Breakfast was also very generous. The kids absolutely loved the pool. Considering the facilities, service, and overall value for money, there's really nothing to complain about.

GGuest UserIt is near to MRT. Overall the hotel hardware is good, but In room onsen is a bit small. Counter staff has no smile and is not very helpful, other staff is friendly but in general very hard sell. Breakfast is just so so. I saw comments saying dinner is a must try item. Dinner tastes ok but is not value for money.
GGj KenOur stay at Amanda Hotel is Awesome! We enjoy swimming in the pool area, our room is comfy, the food is delicious ,they have these moroccan style outfit for rent that gives highlight to the hotel and it was very entertaining though, i think they just need to add some clothes or a bit repair is needed but overall i would say it worth the penny.and thanks to the very accomodating staff! They did great🙌💚

良良人家The hotel was very full the day we arrived, but as Marriott members we were still able to get checked in early. Staff were mostly helpful and very polite. Hotel’s breakfast Buffet was a bit pricey for our budget. Location is good with Miramar mall nearby but it doesn’t open until 11am. So we had “breakfast” at the 7-11. Metro station Jiannan (剑南路站)is 8 min (0.4 mi) walk away. Close to Songshan airport for local flights.
CCHIHLINGIt’s a hotel in the heart of Banqiao station. Walking distance to banqiao station within 10 mins. Room is ok and considered new but not much service. Due to government policy, this hotel doesn’t provide any amenities including slipper. So please bring along your own otherwise it would be $100 NTD if you ask a slipper from the hotel.
DDanielledaneService was top tier! Every single personnel or staff in this hotel were very accommodating and friendly. The amenities were more than what we needed. And we got upgraded into Fabulous room and the view was beautiful. The interior of the room is my favorite. I loved my time here in W. The pool though honestly was a bit cold for me. They probably dont use their pool heater much but i enjoyed more in their sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.
WWhere To Go TodayIt’s a dated hot spring resort that requires some renovation. But I love the location right opposite beitou park. It’s just a short walk to beitou museum and thermal valley too!
Breakfast veers more to Chinese food but the basic breads, fruits and cereal are available as well. We love their lu rou fan but sadly didn’t wake early enough and there was only miserable remnants of it.
If breakfast isn’t included, there’s plenty of food options nearby with several international food stores available.
Futon provided is on the thinner side. So if u aren’t used to hard surfaces, consider getting a room type with proper beds.
GGuest UserI wish motorcycles could also be parked in the parking garage. Many owners, whether of cars or motorbikes, prefer their vehicles to be sheltered from the sun and rain. I hope the hotel can address this. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.
岳岳君君The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers convenient on-site parking. The room was clean, and the meals were delicious. Plus, they provide a complimentary shuttle service to Shuishe Visitor Center, so you don't even need to drive.
