"As foreign travelers (family of 3) we had such a wonderful stay at Sangzhu Hotel and couldn’t recommend it more. The location is absolutely perfect (right opposite the Old Town) making it incredibly convenient while still offering a peaceful and charming atmosphere. The hotel itself is stunning and clearly very popular. There are always people in the lobby taking photos and even doing traditional costume photo shoots, and you can also rent costumes and do professional-style photoshoots right there. We even tried some painting activities, which are paid experiences but very convenient since everything is located within the hotel facilities (and it’s actually quite popular with visitors coming from all around the Town just for these experiences). It really adds a fun and cultural dimension to the stay. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful cultural coffee shop inside the hotel, featuring a gorgeous round table and a cozy bonfire. In the evening, they host a lovely bonfire 🔥event with traditional dances and butter tea, which created such a magical and authentic vibe✨ We stayed in the family room with two beds, and it was beautifully decorated in traditional Shangri-La style. From the elegant velvet curtains to the thoughtful details like velvet pouches for the disposable slippers, every little touch made the room feel special and luxurious. They also provided luxuriously smooth and soft robes for all of us, which was such a nice added touch. The service was also exceptional. In addition to a lovely breakfast and afternoon tea, the staff brought local milk and pastries to our room every day as a snack, such a thoughtful gesture. We were traveling across China for three weeks with a lot of luggage, and the team kindly helped us with everything, always with a smile. What truly stood out was the incredibly warm and dynamic team 🤍🤍🤍 Despite the language barrier, they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome, even helping me find the name of my favorite song from the bonfire evening show, which was such a sweet and memorable moment. Our only regret is not staying longer. We will definitely be back! And thank you as well for the lovely little souvenir gift at the end, it was such a thoughtful way to finish our stay💕"

"Traveling to Dali with my family, choosing Songyun Banshan Hotel was definitely a hit. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around, and parking is convenient. The rooms are spacious with great natural light, and the wet and dry areas are well-separated, with a full range of toiletries. Both my parents and the kids were very comfortable. The hotel environment is tranquil, surrounded by lush greenery, making walks and admiring the views very pleasant. Our butler, Allen, was incredibly thoughtful, proactively looking after us, and the breakfast catered to both adults and children. The terrace offers expansive views, and watching the Cangshan clouds, the sea of clouds, and the sunset over the sea with the family created a fantastic atmosphere. The hygiene standards are strict, and service is prompt. It's perfect for a short family getaway, and I genuinely recommend it to families traveling with children. However, it's worth noting that this area is in Haidong District, which is a bit far from both Dali Ancient City and Shuanglang Ancient Town. The environment and scenery are exceptional, facing Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain, and the service is also great. It's located within Ideal Bang, which has a complete range of snacks, supermarkets, bakeries, and milk tea shops."

"Came to Yunnan specifically for the floor-to-ceiling windows. Summer in Dali truly fulfilled all my fantasies about living in a beautiful destination. The original photos are stunning enough without filters. The Sancai Yunhe Dali Shuanglang Erhai Snow Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. Both the guest rooms and common areas feature oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, directly facing the entire Erhai Lake. Lying in bed felt like stepping into a picturesque landscape. The private viewing terrace was perfect for photos, and there were many popular spots nearby. After a day of exploring, returning to the room, enjoying afternoon tea, and quietly watching the sunset over the lake, while gazing out the window and relaxing, was incredibly gentle and therapeutic."

"Atmosphere: The sea view is stunning, offering different sunrise and sunset views every day from every angle. Facilities: Well-equipped, the host even provided daily replenished disposable toiletries, a powerful hairdryer, and a wet/dry bathroom setup. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. The cleaning staff cleaned daily, and the room was odor-free. Service: The butler service was attentive and responsive. Public areas were elegant and clean with pleasant diffusers, and there was a self-service area for water and amenities."

"I feel like I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't give a glowing review of Dali Molv - Shanshe Smart B&B (Dali Ancient City Branch) after my three-day stay. 'Picking chrysanthemums by the eastern fence, I gaze at Cangshan Mountain with leisure!' Firstly, let me talk about the experience from booking to check-in. After checking rankings and the location, I chose a spot outside the ancient city, about 250 meters from the main road, with Honglongjing Gate just across it. It's about a 12-minute walk to the ancient city, depending on your pace. We booked four rooms for eight people: three tatami queen beds and one tea tatami twin. After a call, we added each other on WeChat for communication, including breakfast and afternoon tea, and they were almost instantly responsive, with the longest wait being five minutes. For someone like me who values service feedback, this was incredibly efficient and satisfying. Now, about the stay itself. While on the train from Kunming to Dali, we informed them 1-2 hours in advance of our estimated arrival time and afternoon tea preparation. The train journey was about 45 minutes. I initially thought about staying one night on the south side of Erhai Lake, but with seniors and children, I decisively opted for a continuous stay. Our subsequent dining and sightseeing experiences proved this to be the right choice, saving the elderly and children from unnecessary travel, especially the several folks in their early 70s. Upon arriving at the B&B, we were greeted by a Shiba Inu and another small dog whose name I don't recall (forgive my ignorance). Then, an aunt immediately went to call the front desk staff (the owner) for us. He promptly came out to welcome us and handled our check-in very enthusiastically. I must highlight a few check-in details: firstly, they upgraded two of our queen rooms. Secondly, they insisted on carrying our three suitcases to each room, though we 'rescued' our luggage from them. Finally, in each room, they patiently explained how to use the intelligent 'Xiao Ai' smart speaker, the bathroom equipment, the complimentary drinks in the fridge, and the humidifier's location. The fully smart toilet with disposable seat covers (which most hotels don't provide) was a great convenience for travelers like us. In short, everything in the room was free. After settling our belongings in the rooms, we headed to the tearoom to enjoy the custom-made, freshly baked afternoon tea. Two servings were already prepared, and two more were brought over as we sat down, totaling four servings, which confirmed they were prepared fresh. Both children and adults loved it, especially the waffles which disappeared instantly. The floral tea, fruit, rose cakes, and pastries were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Moving on to the overall experience during our stay, the rooms were very spacious, with an open-plan layout, and the bathroom, shower, and vanity areas were all dry/wet separated. But what I want to emphasize most is the quality of service. Firstly, regarding drinks, the young man told us not to hesitate to ask them for anything we needed, immediately alleviating any shyness we might have had. Secondly, breakfast only required 10-20 minutes notice for freshly prepared meals. There were A and B set menus to choose from, and the rice noodles were better than those found in chain hotels – abundant and satisfying. As for the environment, please refer to the photos; it's certainly among the top-tier B&Bs. They also have their own small bar, which I didn't visit, but I drank plenty of refillable iced lattes, which my son particularly loved and had every day. A crucial point is the complimentary sweet soup before bed every night, with different options for the two nights. The first night was red bean and peanut sweet soup; the bowl in the photo shows how delicious it looked. The second night was mung bean and coix seed sweet soup, and they proactively reminded us that it was available whenever we wanted. On the first day, we returned quite late from sightseeing and even troubled them to deliver it to our rooms (four people came back from dinner and walking around the ancient city). We returned after 10 PM, and after we told them, they quickly came to collect the bowls. They initially told us to just leave them outside, but their service was so good that I couldn't bear to leave them out, fearing they might be accidentally damaged. Soon, two young ladies came to collect from all four of our rooms. They were kind and beautiful, and every staff member we met greeted us warmly. On the second night, we had eaten too much and hadn't thought about asking for the sweet soup, but I was pleased that even without us asking, they proactively offered it. Another detail worth mentioning: on the first night, my son had a nosebleed while picking his nose in his sleep, staining the duvet and sheets. I informed them and offered to cover the cleaning fee, but they simply told me, 'Brother, it's fine, we can get it cleaned today,' which instantly made me feel very warm inside. Before our outings, they also provided us with travel suggestions. I've attached some beautiful photos and recorded my feelings for everyone's reference. I strongly recommend this place to any friends traveling with family who want to find tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle."

"For this 270-degree ocean view king room, I'd be willing to come to Dali a hundred more times! The view is truly unbeatable; lying in bed feels like floating on the sea. The best part is the bathtub by the window. Fill it with hot water at night, soak in it, sip a glass of red wine, and enjoy the unobstructed view of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake – the illusion of being ”walking in a painting” is simply amazing. The whole room is smart home, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening – every second is pure enjoyment. The room facilities are new, and the bedding is extremely comfortable, making for a truly relaxing sleep. This isn't just staying in a hotel; it's like giving your body and mind a top-notch spa treatment. Highly recommended for anyone seeking romance and quality!"

"We chose Coco as our butler for our trip to Dali, and the hotel was a pleasant surprise! Check-in at the front desk was efficient and quick, and the staff were incredibly helpful, even offering thoughtful advice on travel routes and reminding us about the tidal lane in advance, which made our self-drive smooth and safe. The guest room was meticulously cleaned, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent – I slept soundly until morning. "This hotel is located just north of Xingsheng Bridge. The lobby is spacious and offers complimentary popcorn and freshly ground coffee. The front desk staff are very welcoming and the breakfast offers great value for money, with freshly made rice noodles and regular noodles. The housekeeping staff are also very thorough and attentive."
