"This is my second stay at a Mitsui Garden Hotel, the last one being in Tokyo. The hotel chain consistently offers great service. This particular hotel is very close to Nagoya subway station, about a 5-7 minute walk. There's an underground shopping area right below where you can eat and shop, and a 7-Eleven across the street for breakfast or snacks. Within about a 5-minute walk, you'll also find popular eateries like Sekai no Yamachan, Isomaru Suisan, and Torikizoku, which is very convenient."

"The hotel was very conveniently located, close to the live house we were visiting that weekend. The facilities were very clean, including the bathroom, and the beds were comfortable. We slept well. The staff was efficient and helpful, and they kindly stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out.
The only downside is that the hotel is located in a very lively area of Nagoya, and it was quite noisy outside until late at night. We personally didn’t have any trouble sleeping, and there was no noise from neighboring rooms, but it’s something worth keeping in mind."

"This stay was really great. The hotel's overall environment was clean and tidy, and the decor was quite modern. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, making for a very relaxing stay. "I had to choose this hotel near Nagoya Station during the F1 season because there were no other options, but it turned out to be surprisingly convenient and comfortable: a 1500 yen taxi ride to Nagoya Station; a 7-Eleven right downstairs; Patagonia just across the main road; a 6-minute walk to Nagoya Tower & Hisaya Odori Park; 8 minutes to Kato Coffee; and 15 minutes to Montbell/Mitsukoshi Department Store/LACHIC. The room was tiny with no closet, making it difficult to store luggage, but all other facilities were fine. The public bath on the 14th floor and the breakfast on the 2nd floor were delicious, especially the udon noodles, hitsumabushi (three ways to eat eel), red bean toast, and siumai."

"I reserved this hotel due to its location and its relatively low nightly rate (breakfast included). I had quite a good experience staying here.
It’s less than a 5-minute walk from Hisayaodori Subway Station. The check-in was self-service check-in, and it was pretty easy.
The room we reserved was relatively small, but clean and tidy, with enough space to open two 22” suitcases and arrange our belongings. As for everything else, we had what we needed, and I rested well.
The facilities and amenities were pretty much as advertised in the Services & Amenities section. However, there’s no designated smoking area, which I missed. The interesting thing is that it has a Shampoo Bar, which allows us to try out some shampoo products. I also enjoyed the public bath.
The breakfast tasted good. They offer buffet-style Japanese meals with a good selection of side dishes and drinks. One of the downsides is that the dining area is small, and at times it can be so crowded during breakfast that it’s hard to move around."

"What a wonderful stay! Although I've visited Nagoya several times, this was my first time staying in the Sakae district. While it's not as convenient for JR access as the area around Takashimaya, I personally think Sakae offers better, more youthful, and stylish shopping than Nagoya JR Station – there's just too much to explore! The hotel itself is very international, and the lobby's design sets it apart from other hotels. It also offers excellent privacy. Check-in was quiet and orderly. The staff spoke fluent English, were quick and very friendly, providing a great comfort after a long journey. The room was thoughtfully designed with many small surprises – I won't spoil them all; you'll have to discover them for yourselves!"

"Getting to the hotel from the airport is super easy: just take the Meitetsu Line straight to Nagoya Station, and it's about a 7-8 minute walk from there. Nagoya Station is great for shopping, with department stores like Takashimaya and JR Tower, plus tons of restaurants and shopping streets. You'll find everything from hitsumabushi (grilled eel) to Komeda Coffee and Ichiran Ramen. The 7-Eleven nearby even offers tax refunds.
The front desk staff were really friendly and had excellent English. On the first floor, you can help yourself to various toiletries and tea bags. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine. Breakfast included both Western options like bread and salad, and Japanese dishes. If you want your room cleaned, you need to let the front desk know in the morning. For fresh towels, just put them in the bag provided and hang it on your doorknob. The only downside was that the breakfast menu never changed."
