Romantic Hotels in Yunnan, China

The room is beautifully designed with advanced built in technology such as diffused oxygen supply and floor heating, with a great direct view to the snowy mountains. There are many home stays nearby that offers the same Mountain View. We paid a premium to stay here, not only for the Mountain View, but also for the supposed services and daily activities that the hotel advertised on social media. Unfortunately the service level is almost non existent, the breakfast area is easily overpacked. The staffs even asked me to share a four people table with a couple during breakfast. I am not paying USD500 per night so I can share a dining table with strangers with no privacy. We joined the sound healing experience which was held at 9pm (on the contrary to most other sound healing experiences I had, which is usually in the morning). The sound healing experience was held in the meditation room, which is located right above the Bar. Naturally, during the sound healing experience I heard mostly loud speakers playing APT and other loud music, with some light bowl singing sound. The dinner was the worst I have had during my 9 days trip in Yunnan. The afternoon tea on level 5 (Bar area) was strangely arranged with all guests cramped next to each other and hunched over the low table where snacks are placed. The hotel claims to have the top hotel room design and provides top end appliances in all the rooms, including HERMES toiletries, a B&O speaker, and Dyson hairdryer. The staffs introduced the room with great enthusiasm and pride on the small design details. Although, after 2nights in the hotel, I left feeling the hotel is nothing but an empty shell with no soul. I will not come back to this hotel again

I had a delightful stay at the Wanda Vista Resort Xishuangbanna, and can highly recommend the hotel for both luxury and a relaxing unique experience. A place that has something wonderful for everyone. A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. The staff were particularly helpful in meeting my needs and ensuring a great stay. I would especially like to thank Martin Gan. He provided an excellent service, He was very helpful and diligent and is a true credit to the Hotel.

Over the Valentine's weekend, I lavished myself with a solo romantic getaway to Lugu Lake, where I indulged in a tranquil retreat at the Sanse Yunhe Hotel. This haven boasted exceptional service, thoughtful amenities, and breathtaking views. My third-floor suite overlooked the stunning lake, offering a million-dollar panorama that I could savor from the comfort of my bed or the balcony. Each day began with a sumptuous breakfast, followed by exquisite afternoon tea. The room was stocked with delightful treats, including facial masks, self-heating eye masks, and replenishable snack box and mini fridge. The pièce de résistance? Complimentary travel photography, set against the majestic backdrop of Goddess Mountain. Located in Daluoshui and by the scenic lake, this hotel offers superb accessibility by foot, to restaurants and shops nearby, and a stone’s throw away from the village. I must also add that the Housekeeper Zhuoma was extremely attentive and helpful. She went all the way out to save my broken nail, helping to locate the one and only manicure salon in the village! I stayed at Lisiman Xinsu in Shangri-La for 2 days, and it was a truly memorable experience. Despite the rainy weather, the views were still incredibly beautiful — misty mountains and lush greenery that made the whole place feel serene and magical. The service was excellent; the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of the stay was the ******* photography experience — it was such a fun and unique way to immerse ourselves in the local culture and take home some amazing memories. The property also had lots of adorable animals roaming around, which added a lovely charm and made the stay even more delightful, especially for animal lovers. Overall, Lisiman Xinsu offers a peaceful retreat with a great balance of natural beauty, cultural experience, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Shangri-La!

this hotel raised the BAR for service and stay. amazing view, amazing staff, they were so friendly and genuinely wanted us to have fun staying at their accommodation/ visiting their area. hotel has a clear view of jade dragon mountain which was the main reason why we booked the stay. bonfire at night, unlimited barista coffee. keep in mind the lijiang is at slightly higher altitude, despite that the staff have been helping with our bags, countless requests, climbing up and down to send things directly to our room. in addition, the room we booked was right next to an accommodation being renovated. the team was generous enough to upgrade us to a better room, further from the noise. i can only say i’ve been spoiled by them. i’ve been recommending this stay to my friends and i would not hesitate to return!! thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and neatly maintained, and the location is excellent — just a short 5-minute walk to Nanping Pedestrian Street, which made exploring the area very convenient. A pleasant surprise on our second night — the hotel thoughtfully provided a massage foot soak bucket for our family, which made our stay feel extra relaxing and homely. The toiletries were a nice touch too — the shampoo and body wash had a lovely scent, and even the toothbrushes were of surprisingly good quality. What truly stood out was the staff — everyone we encountered was polite, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and great location. I’d definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip!

We drove to Yuanyang this time and saw this Shengtian on the Internet. Because it was not the peak season, we decided to check out the room before deciding whether to stay. The front desk lady took us to see the room very enthusiastically. There are three buildings in total, with different room types and a wide view. We booked it immediately. The hotel has a designated parking lot and shuttle bus. The hotel needs to take a shuttle bus to get there. The room is spacious and tidy. The king-size bed room has a two-meter bed. The bedding is good and clean. Because the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, the quilt is also thick. The hair dryer is equipped with Lefen, which is very good. The bathroom is TOTO, the water is huge, hot and comfortable. The projection uses Dangbei, Fresnel hard screen cloth, and the hardware facilities are very good. We live in a room with a balcony. The balcony looks out to the terraced fields. As long as the weather is good, it is not a dream to realize the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields. You can also see the local residents working from sunrise to sunset, which is really very comfortable. The hotel has three meals a day, so it is very convenient, and you don’t have to worry about eating, and the taste is also very good. The hotel's service staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. If you come to Yuanyang, I recommend you to come here.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Dali, Yunnan, and had an overall pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the room and common areas was impressive — everything was well-maintained and tidy, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The service stood out as one of the highlights. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with directions or local recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. But would like to comment on the photoshooting service that this hotel provided, although they stated it’s free, but each room ONLY FREE 5 PIECES NON EDIT photos no matter how many days you stay. So please don’t ask for this service if you don’t want your pocket to have a hole 🤣, would recommend you to have the traditional costume shoot in Lijiang or Shangrila which will cost in cheaper price where they can provide costume rental and full make up. This hotel they charge a very high price for the photoshooting if you want to buy the photos from them. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang, if they like photoshooting. Or else you can stay in other better choices hotels.

The manor has a beautiful and secluded environment, and the cabin is very much like the jungle-view cabin I stayed in on Koh Rong Sanloem, Cambodia. I love being in close contact with nature! It is worth mentioning: Na Dao, the hotel’s beautiful manager, treats guests warmly and provides considerate service! In the evening, we were invited to sit on the fire pit, drink wine, and sing the ”Friendship Song” of the Wa ethnic group to add to the fun. They gave me a bunch of food, and when I first arrived in Wa, I felt the simplicity and enthusiasm of the hotel manager! Will stay again. A home away from home experience.

The dipping sauce was delicious even when dipped into the soles of shoes. Breakfast was a set meal for each person, including coffee, salad, toast, sausage, wonton, and even millet porridge. It was a true combination of Chinese and Western. 2. There were many activities in their home. I missed the afternoon tea. There were movies in the public area at night, and there were cultural and creative activities - Jiama painting. During the day, they would give away tickets to the Mosuo Museum. Although I was traveling with two people, I observed that these activities were also suitable for bringing children, which was very fulfilling. 3. Their home treats guests like family, which is really worth a thumbs up! When I checked out, I just asked for two more bottles of water. As a result, the staff knew that I was going to drive to Shangri-La by myself, and filled me with a bag of snacks and glucose to prevent motion sickness on the road. This is my first time staying in a hotel similar to a homestay. Before, I used to book chain brands such as Hilton Indigo. Qianshanji gave us so many surprises that I spontaneously wrote so many reviews at this moment. If I have to say something that I regret, it's why I only booked one night. I regret it so much. Next time I must leave enough time and stay for a few days!
