I stayed at Lisiman Xinsu in Shangri-La for 2 days, and it was a truly memorable experience. Despite the rainy weather, the views were still incredibly beautiful — misty mountains and lush greenery that made the whole place feel serene and magical. The service was excellent; the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of the stay was the ******* photography experience — it was such a fun and unique way to immerse ourselves in the local culture and take home some amazing memories. The property also had lots of adorable animals roaming around, which added a lovely charm and made the stay even more delightful, especially for animal lovers. Overall, Lisiman Xinsu offers a peaceful retreat with a great balance of natural beauty, cultural experience, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Shangri-La!

This hotel is located at the middle of Lijiang old town, so it is convenient to access to the street shopping. It is a small size hotel with total 14 rooms and combination of antiquity and modern style. The staff was very hospitality and introduce us nice restaurants and tip of traveling at snow mountain. We had asking for change another room due to the room we get is facing right front of the main entrance that we feeling not so good. But the staff 唐皓 had directly change us another room without hesitate. Room was very clean and comfortable which is same as photo I saw in app. The only downside is toilet don't have door which for couple shouldnt be any issue but for family member will be quite inconvenient. Breakfast is Ala cart, fresh and hot serving. I like the noodle soup very much. Breakfast is repeat for my 2 days stay if can do some change will be extra bonus. I recommend this hotel to everyone who like to explore old town deeply and longing for having a cup of wine with old town view. This hotel have a very very nice balcony. But for family with aged parent and children I not recommend because the location is at the middle of long and steep staircase. Is not easy to climb up and down at this high altitude city.

We planned our trip to Yunnan quite last minute and luckily managed to book this B&B — and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations! The hosts were so nice, helpful, and friendly, treating us more like family than guests. They even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off, which made everything so convenient. We also had dinner at their restaurant — the food was pretty good too! The highlight was definitely the view from our room: a stunning, scenic view of Napahai that I’ll never forget. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shangri-La. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to come back in the future!

Exactly as pictured. (I have a Samsung so it will make colors pop a bit more, but the mountain views on a nice day are exactly as pictured! In fact, it looks better irl) Was greeted upon arriving by the homestay dog (his name is Huanxi). His son (the one in the cage) was there as well. Huanxi is a very calm dog but if you go up to pet him, he will accept pats. LOCATION: Other than a brutal 10 minute walk up a little hill, it's quite close to the West Gate side of Dali Ancient Town. ROOM: Very clean and everything looked brand new. My room was on the 2nd floor so the balcony is right outside my window. You can see mountains from the room (the view might not be the clearest from the room so I recommend going on the 2nd floor balcony or the 4th floor where the washing machine is). The 4th floor provides a 360 view of Dali's mountains and you can see Erhai from afar. FOOD: They provided a welcoming bowl of fresh watermelons (very sweet!) And Yunnan's specialty rose pastries. They also have Pu'er tea (Yunnan's specialty) in the room or you can request an afternoon tea. I only had breakfast once, but they provide either rice with side dishes or noodles every morning from 8 AM to 10 AM. You can message them on wechat in advance and they can even send the breakfast up to your room. The homestay employees were all super friendly and there is a painted map on the first floor of main tourist locations. If you speak Chinese, they will give you a thorough introduction of these tourist locations and how to get there. (If you speak English, they'll try their best with a translator app.)

My stay in Shangri-La was truly memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the hotel. Upon arriving at the train station, I couldn’t get a taxi, so I sent a quick message to the hotel via WeChat. To my surprise and relief, the staff immediately offered to come pick me up. It was a short ride, but during the drive, they shared interesting insights about the area, setting the tone for what would be a warm and personal stay. The hotel itself felt cozy and welcoming, with two dogs and a cat adding to the homely charm. They had my room ready early, so I could check in and rest right away. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and thoughtfully prepared for the cold weather—it had a large dehumidifier and central floor heating, which made it incredibly comfortable during the chilly days. The hotel is conveniently located near the Shika Snow Mountain, and from the property, I could catch glimpses of the snowy peaks, open grasslands, farms, and plantations. It was a peaceful and scenic spot—an ideal base for exploring the area. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always just a message away, responding promptly to every request. As a first-time visitor to Shangri-La, I appreciated the wealth of local recommendations they provided—from attractions to hidden spots worth visiting. One night, after a long day out, I asked for a simple meal in the room, and they delivered hot fried rice from the kitchen right on time. On my final morning, I had an early departure, and despite the hour, the staff woke up and personally drove me to the train station at 6:30 a.m. Their warmth and dedication left a lasting impression. The hotel also offers traditional ******* clothing that guests can try on for photos—complete with the option to pose with a goat! Although it was too cold during my stay to enjoy the outdoor swing or take many photos outside, the setting was undeniably beautiful. As we drove away on my last day, the view of flat grasslands with horses and cows grazing under the open sky was the perfect farewell. It was a calm, heartwarming experience—one I’ll remember fondly.

I was very satisfied with the room I stayed in this time. The front desk upgraded us to a river view room. The view outside the window was pretty good. When I opened the curtains in the morning, I could see the Lancang River at a glance, which made me feel better. The room was very clean, and the staff were very polite and responsive. The service was good. I will come back next time.

The room is very very very good, my friend and I both like it very much. The furnishings in the room are very attentive, equipped with mountain spring water from the plateau, bottled mineral water and glucose water, which shows that it is very attentive. The view on the roof is first-class, facing the Meili Thirteen Peaks. There are several public areas, which are also very good. The boss and staff are also very kind, just like returning home

The hotel location is quite good. From your room, you can look over the old town scenery. If you look for the hotel in Google maps you will never find it. The location in the Google maps is wrong. The best way to get to the hotel is to give a taxi driver, the hotel phone number. If you go by public transport you must use the map in Trip.com. My room is a bit too small but I think this is because I booked low price rate. The cleanliness and the amenities are not excellent but acceptable. The staff service is excellent. The staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is in Chinese style, but I can eat it because I am Asian.

This is a cozy and well-located homestay near two ancient towns — Lijiang Ancient City and Shuhe Ancient City. They offer convenient one-way transport to both, as well as pick-up service from the airport and train station, which is a great bonus. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer beautiful lake views. The homestay is also equipped with a lift, making it especially convenient for guests with mobility needs. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay!

They offer pick us from train station for free About 30 minutes we arriving at higher ground with busy car surrounding, then suddenly there are few people took our luggage and ask us to follow them, later we know i think that’s the laoban and the hotel’s stuff who brought our heavy luggage🙏 2. The hotel itself located in old town, yet still easy to reach by didi/ taxi. We arriving at beautiful wooden house, and they offers us welcoming tea. So quite inside the house, with many stairs. They brought our luggage into our room ( so need to worry to drags your luggage all the way to old town, without knowing exactly where the place is, just sit and relax😎). 3. We love our rooftop room😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 My daughter also love to play robox outside😑. “Playing with the view,” She said. 4. The breakfast is enough for us, rice noodles, sweet potatoes, soya milk, corn👌 5. The stuff are super friendly. Even though we cant speak mandarin, they put us into we chat group so if we need anything we can ask them🙏many thanks for that, we even chat them to arrange private driver for us the at 11 pm, and they still can manage it with reasonable price. We ask them for a lot of thinga😅 we even ask for where to eat, where to buy coffee. We follow all their suggestion. We ate the rice noodle twice😍. We bought the coffee and raw honey in the shop that stuff recommend to us. We really like Lijiang and this old town, very interesting old town. I saw some reels saying dont visit old town during the day time, visit during the night time. Since i am a morning person, i didnt understand at the beginning, but then just walk 5 minutes downhill from the hotel and you can see many clubs in the old town😜😜😜. At morning time, we can see the Yulong mountain from our roof top if not cover by clouds, veryyyyy quiteeee not many shops open, like the ghost town, but during the night time, the ghost goes to party.
