"I really loved the overall visual aesthetic and interior design of Lakeshore Hotel. Even though it was peak season during summer and there was a long line for check-in, the staff were efficient and guided everyone well, so the process was quick. The moment I saw the room's facilities, I immediately felt that relaxing vacation vibe. The frog calls and starry sky at night were especially soothing. And I don't even need to elaborate on the hotel's breakfast; it was absolutely five-star quality. Simply fantastic!"

"This place is a great choice for couples and solo travellers. It’s very budget friendly and new, I was thankful that the cleanliness was good as reviewed by the other recent travellers. As a solo female traveller, I found this place safe, convenient and near the Taichung Station, so even if you check in late, it’s easy to find. Free Coffee from a decent self-operated machine in the morning. Only complaint would be less sound-proofing and some noise from other rooms, but they anticipated this and provide ear plugs. All that can be overlooked cos of the other factors like cleanliness."

"This was my first time staying at the Six Star Hotel in Taoyuan, and I chose the business quad room. The price on Friday wasn't bad, and it included breakfast. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was really, really cold! Aside from a slight noise from the AC, the overall experience was good. The hot water for the shower came on quickly, no long wait needed! 👍 For breakfast, you could order a set meal; the portion wasn't huge but it was decent. The self-service buffet didn't have many options, but what they had was quite tasty! There's also a parking lot next to the business rooms. I'd definitely choose Six Star again if I'm back in Taoyuan."

"A little old but room given to me was big with proper work desk and chair. Free mini bar that has small can of coke and isotonic, instant tea, drip coffee, some other teabags and 2 small pack of crackers which get replenished daily. Gym was tiny with limited equip so not exactly ideal and has to access thru the emergency stairs from level 8 to level 9 - found it eerie first time accessing it. Breakfast spread limited, hopefully would be improved on to offer items like cup yogurt, granola etc. Location wise 1 stop from City Hall MRT, actually walkable if not in rush. There are buses to 101 so easier than changing train lines to go to the red lines. A large Poya next door, Starbucks just few steps away. Couple of convenience stores and more eateries opp.
Hotel staff generally was polite. The lady who assisted with my check in and out was extremely helpful. Overall impression of hotel was good. Very good value esp in comparison to the super high px near City Hall."

"The room was spacious and comfortable. They stopped providing toothbrushes last year, but the front desk gave me one. The hotel has a European vibe, and for some reason, the staff always spoke to me in English, though that's generally the case when people see me in Taipei. The hotel breakfast is very Japanese. It's also quite close to the MRT station, which was convenient for me to go to Dajia nearby for a live show."

Anonymous UserSuper efficient accommodation, great service staff both speak Mandarin and English, nice interior/ decoration/ public area well maintained and really support solo traveller/ bath room clean: provide both soap and shampoo including hair dryer, hair oil, cotton bud, pad, necessary stuff. Also provided an area for cook, eat, sit, work, talk; free coffee, tea and water dispenser. I highly recommend this hotel! I stay in the hostel option the bed area is so nice! Large space, clean bed sheet, storage area beside bed, also has outlet and light. One concern is that in the hostel option there will be other people in the same room, pray for luck to not get a bad roommate 😆 ใครมาพักที่ไถหนานแนะนำเลยคับ! ดีมาก สมราคา!

Love the view from the room, amazing especially when sunrises. The breakfast is awesome and the hotel team really take good care of us throughout our stay. The room are spacious and clean. Location is secluded and it's recommended to have your own car to go around the area as it is more convenient.

Such a clean B&B! The owners are incredibly nice, and they offer breakfast with a choice of congee, sandwiches, and soy milk. The fried dough sticks are super crispy and delicious – worth waking up early for! The room has a fridge, which is great for keeping drinks. The only downside is that the fridge compressor sometimes makes a noise, but I'm a heavy sleeper, so I didn't hear it at all while sleeping. All the facilities are perfect. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

It is basically a mansion sitting in an exclusive neighbourhood. The location is excellent! It sits on high ground overlooking the city and you can view the sunrise from the balcony early in the morning. At night you can sit outside the garden and watch the city lights while sipping on a cold beer. The best thing about the place is the owner. He was very hospitable and drove us into town and back! In the morning we had a 5 course breakfast before setting off.

既反炒This is a great onsen ryokan. The front desk service is excellent, and the room facilities are comprehensive. The hot spring water is sufficiently hot, very hygienic, and clean. I definitely recommend coming again.
Also, be sure to book breakfast in advance, otherwise, you won't get any.

Jeanette C.It was my first time visiting to Taiwan with family and friends. We had a very pleasant stay for 5 nights. The location is convenient for getting around, which made our trip much more enjoyable. The room amenities were well-equipped and met all my needs, making the stay comfortable and satisfying.
One small suggestion would be to provide a few more hangers in the room, as it would be helpful for longer stays.
Special thanks to the staff, Mr. Li (Lee). Whenever he was in charge of front desk, he was extremely helpful throughout our stay and always ready to assist with any requests. We truly appreciate his efforts in making our experience even more pleasant.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

Guest UserThe room was beautiful, facing the sea, and the terrace was very comfortable. The room facilities were new and stylish, with thoughtful details; the shampoo and hairdryer were high-end. The breakfast was delicious, the tableware was beautiful, and there was even an adorable dog to keep us company. The host was incredibly kind; since there's no Uber in Hualien, the host helped us book a taxi, and even gave us some local Hualien snacks as a parting gift. It was a very heartwarming experience, and I hope to come back again.

Anonymous UserThe room I stayed in had a window facing the road on the front side, and it was in the bathroom. There was a blind that I closed when needed. At night, cars passed by, but in the morning, I could see locals exercising from the window. The bath was spacious, had a hot spring, and was new and clean. I had considered going for a day trip to a nearby hot spring, but I'm glad I stayed here. The self-service check-in and check-out were a bit tricky, but it was a very good and affordable hotel.

Owner was very friendly and helpful to help us switch our rooms to a lower floor because there was no lift and we had two big luggage.
Also provided us with multiple guides on where and what to do nearby
Room was spacious for two and clean/well mainained as well. Breakfast was customised and homey and yummy!
Location is less than 10mins walk to the night market and the direct sea view was great for early sunrise morning walks :)

When I booked this on the reservation website, I had no idea it was a motel. I placed a non-refundable order and only received the check-in instructions later, which stated that check-in was only allowed after 8 PM – that's a huge minus. The outdoor pool floor was not clean, and it should be easy to sweep the gravel and dirt from the walkway into the nearby plant area. It's a shame these small details were overlooked!
The breakfast was too simple and didn't really match the beautiful accommodation environment. Plus, it came in a takeaway lunch box, which felt a bit odd, even though the sandwich wasn't bad!
We did choose a very nice room type, so overall, we were satisfied with the physical facilities.
